I think it's got something to do with Craig Thomson

Re: Hearts management switch
Romanov ruins that club. Yes, his money have made them a team that look like they may have the opportunity to push the ugly sisters but his chopping and changing of managers is ridiculous.
Anybody would be stupid to take that job..

They have appointed paolo Sergio ex sporting Lisbon boss. Seems a bit quick.
Agree with gaffer as I think it has something to do with Thomson which stinks anyway.

Re: Hearts management switch
They did fall away badly at the end of last season. They had secured 3rd spot and nearly gave it back, lack of commitment there I thought. Was that the players or the manager?
Jefferies bought well for this season and it looks like a good team. Two good games with dissapointing results. Perhaps Romanov has spotted a flaw. Interesting that he wants Jefferies for the Football 'director 'roll or is that just to save a bob or two on the contracts.

I think that might have been a way to gag him, I don't think its much a surprise, a couple of days after its known Thomson is still on the books JJ and BB are axed

Paulo Sergio is going to walk into the changing room asking himself who the hell Jamie Hamil and Medhi Tauoil are.

Yeah, I ain't taking anything away from the lad as I completely agree he is a fantastic player. I have a mate who supports Killie and he was gutted when he left. The new boss will just be used to slightly more well known players.

He managed Kaunas as well though so he'll be used to that kind of player

He's never previously managed outside of Portugal?

I see Romanov has shipped Thompson out to Kaunas.
Not a clever move but at least he is off Hearts books.

Re: Hearts management switch
I can't see this having anything to do with jj and bb. Why lay them off and keep that beast on the payroll?
Also heard Romanov is a bit miffed after being told to keep his nose out of the first team already

I am a Jambo and I like JJ but you can't ignore the fact that he has only won 2 of his last 14 league matches.
However good a manager you are that's sacking country.

Re: Hearts management switch
While that would normally be a good argument, why not do it in the close season? Why let JJ sign 5 or 6 players? Two good results in the first 3 games and the one game you lose is after an away day in Europe, makes no sense

Re: Hearts management switch
Romanov's been quoted as saying as he wants Hearts to win the title this season. Will he give Sergio some funds for a few more players? or is he just living in cuckoo land as usual.

Re: Hearts management switch
I agree to an extent on his sacking when his record says 2 wins out of 14 but the first two games of this season have been away to Ranger and Dundee United. Where is the logic in that? A draw at Ibrox isn't a dreadful result and like Gaffer said, the loss to United came after a long trip to Hungary in the week prior.
Romanov hasn't got a clue. Paying pedophiles, and saying that the people who run Scottish football are 'fools and idiots'. Takes one to know one.

Monty you're spot on mate, if Romanov was serious then surely he'd make more funds available

Re: Hearts management switch
He genuinely doesn't have a clue. If he had a brain, he would have put more money into the club because it is already obvious that Hearts are the only club that are going to be capable of splitting the Ugly Sisters.

Donssteve
I thought the result against Rangers WAS very poor .
They were very poor and we were all over them for 70% of the game. I expected better than a draw.
Listened to parts of the United game on the radio, seemed an exciting game with both teams playing well.

PS
I think the Mcleish Report and the latest moves within the SFA has proved without any doubt that the people who were running Scottish Football were fools and idiots.

Re: Hearts management switch
I agree to an extent that yes Hearts probably could have gotten the three points at Ibrox but it was the opening day of the season and it once gain demonstrates the difference between the OF and the rest of the league. The OF can kill of teams when dominating, but obviously the rest can't.

Re: Hearts management switch
I don't think you can blame JJ for not winning at Ibrox, Hearts should have been at least 3-0 up at half time, his game plan was perfect but bad finishing cost the team

Re: Hearts management switch
It's the toughest draw you could get, if Hearts can turn it into two battles then who knows, Blackpool took 4 points off them so I wouldn't say they're unbeatable
