Dennis Andries

Hi All, am new to the forum used to follow 606 but never posted.. just wanted to know what peoples thoughts were on the light heavyweight boxer Dennis Andries.. Remember some of his fights, especially Sibson and his defeat to Hearns, had a trilogy with Jeff Harding towards the end of his career..

from memory he had a lot of heart, good solid puncher but lacking in technical skills, depending upon what you read had btw 50 and 60+ fights and seemed to be open to fight whoever was put in front of him. age also seems to be debatable. But overall a solid fighter with lots of heart, wondering what the opinion of You guys on this fighter was ?

Was it Andries who carried his WBC belt in a plastic carrier bag on a bus on the way to an interview?

andries became a firm believer in ...if you cant beat em join em ... he had little skill,talent but made up for it in heart, drive ambition and will to win and learn. dennis should be ranked alongside conteh and finneghan if not above.
