This is a thread. A thread is where you post a comment and then it goes up in the "thread" for others to see. Every thing on here is a thread - think of it like a book.

The actual chat box which is open at the bottom of the home page, is an instant chat feature. You type something, it instantly appears (you dont have to refresh the page to see replies etc). Its like having a conversation with someone, whereas a thread is like the aforementioned book that you have to refresh to see the next comment (or turn a page if you will).

The chat box is open to everyone and every sport.

If you want to go on there to talk tennis, feel free to do so. If anyone makes you feel unwelcome, let me know.

Its not open during the day, as a lot of work firewalls block it.

Anyone can request it for any sport - if there is a big tennis match on, please ask. It was on for most of wimbledon.
