Thought it might be appropriate to reinstate this, given that it was a legitimate thread. Would appreciate it, though, if we'd please keep it on topic, this time.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Hatton to go on Big Brother
Would be surprise if he went in. Remember seeing an interview with him where he said if he was going to do something like this he would do the Dancing or Masterchef something where you actually have to learn something or train for it rather than sit round on his backside all day. After watching Calzaghe on Strictly come dancing he has not got too much to better.

Irony of ironies, mate.
Nonetheless, I'll leave it here now, since you were quite right to point out that the problem, yesterday, concerned the thread's having veered off topic as opposed to the content itself.
My apologies to you for a poor judgement call in the original instance.

Are we allowed to discuss the possibility of:
a) Him getting it on with that bird who's in there that 99% of us haven't heard of?
b) Him drinking the beer fridge dry within 2 hours of being in there?
c) Getting knocked out and then claiming if he'd have been 5 stone lighter the result would've been different?

Could you imagine him on Masterchef?! He'd probably make:
Main:
Beer battered steak with beer gravy, beer battered chips and a mint beer foam.
Desert:
Vodka jelly, vodka granita, cider cream and a guiness sorbet

Re: Hatton to go on Big Brother
Looks like Hatton just cant seem to let the limelight go. At least if you do Strictly come Dancing or something similar its actually challenging yourself and competing which is ingrained in most boxers. But I am nor sure what would possess someone like Hatton to want to sit around in a house with tabloid figures being filmed 24/7 unless its simply a case that he craves the attention.
I can see why appearing on big brother might hold some sort of morbid appeal for the regular person who wants a bit of fame at any cost. But for an already famous person to go on it just looks like desperation for attention. Usually just C list tabloid celebraties who need to keep their profile up to make money. Not sure if anyone has seen Extras but Ricky Gervais portrayal of the celebrity Big Brother culture in it was eerily accurate. For someone who already has money and fame I just dont see the appeal of being filmed night and day.

Hatton has applied for his trainers license I believe so hopefully has something to focus his attention.

I think Hatton would be quite a good trainer. The fighters would respect him and of course he seems easy to get on with
Would he really? Sure he has respect but if things dont go exactly his way he spits his dummy out the pram.

Re: Hatton to go on Big Brother
I think with trainers its hourses for courses. I would really have my doubts that Hatton would be an effective trainer for a slick defensive minded southpaw for instance. But fighters in his own mould he may well be suitable for.
Like in football, its very difficult to tell what kind of players will make a good manager and its not neccessarily a case of great players being great managers.
Often with great boxers they are less understanding of lesser fighters weaknesses and limitations and as such fail on that basis by expecting too much or trying to turn a brawler into a slickster.
Would never have thought Roach for instance would have been a good trainer watching the way he fought but he seems to have a very good understanding of his fighters strengths and weaknesses and a sound grasp of tactics.

Nah Pauline.. it's easy.
Sit around all day.. drink beer.. talk crap.
I reckon Ricky will be quite good at it.
It'll only get hard for him if they start rationing the food.
