you know how wwe like to pretend things never happened (smackdown spoiler)

So triple h and christian have a segment to kick off tonight smackdown.. triple h brings out his opponent for the night.. sheamus. triple h who at this point was stood at the titantron, passes sheamus on his exit. thats it, despite the fact sheamus (kayfabe) took out triple h last year. even worse is the fact that triple h and ortons past was brought up by christian during the segment and triple even said he doesnt like orton! but sheamus comes out and nothing is mentioned.. just thought id mention it.

Why would they bring it up?

Sheamus is a face now so bringing that up would be only detrimental to Sheamus and achieve nothing. Where as Orton has been presented as an unstable person so mentioning his history with Triple H can't harm his character at all.

It'd be very hard to have past feuds always being referenced I think, and in a lot of cases it isn't a good idea to mention them.

It really boggles the mind tbh.

Its happened for years though.....

I remember in 91 when Earthquake jumped on Jake's Snake killing it but a few months later with Jake now a heel they were teaming up at Survivor Series - Even as a young kid I was thinking hey whats happened there?

Its a tough with some many pay-per-views & tv to not get the situation when guys switch sides & freshen up.... I haven't seen Smackdown but it seems odd when you consider this fued elevated Sheamus originally - They could of simply had a back stage segment selling tension between Sheamus & Trips before hand at the very least
