Who will win the NFC North?
The same as the two previous threads, it’s pretty simple just vote for who you think will win the NFC North?
If you vote, then please post saying who you voted for.

I went for the Packers (what kind of fan would I be if I didn't).
I fancy the Lions for 2nd and to challenge for a wildcard spot though. Stafford looked good on his couple of drives over the weekend and his relationship with Calvin Johnson should be lethal this year.

I went GB because like all neutrals, who would bet against them? They're easily the best team in the conference.
Re: Who will win the NFC North?
Gotta be the Pack. Other than a hole or two on the offensive line, they don't really have any weaknesses!

Re: Who will win the NFC North?
Considering its 100% Packers, do we need to state it?
Hard to go against them unless they suffer any major injuries. Then again, they had some problems last year and went all the way, so...
I can see the Lions taking 2nd here, if Stafford stays healthy. There's been talk about Cutler having worked on stuff in the off season and come back better, but I have to ask why only this year? Better than what?
Vikes probably last as they rebuild. McNabb will not deliver a SB birth and I think their D has lost too much since the end of last season.

The Packers because the Bears had a bad o-line before but after losing Kreutz,Cutler better be prepared to run!

As above! Packers are the strongest team in the NFC, let alone the division.
Would like the Lions to finish 2nd though. Got a bit of a soft spot for them and think with a healthy Stafford they've got an outside chance at a wildcard spot.

You don't think the Eagles are now the strongest?

Haha ok maybe it wasn't quite so necessary for this division, but I'll be asking people to say who they vote for with the rest of the divisions.skins4ever wrote:Considering its 100% Packers, do we need to state it?
I went for the Packers too, even if the Browns (ranked 31st by Pr4wn) did beat them.

Re: Who will win the NFC North?
We may well have lost to the Brown's but a fair few of our starters didn't play at all (Finley, Woodson etc) so our second stringers played the first quarter and our third stringers played most of the game. That being said Colt McCoy did look sharp when he was on the field.
Also for those of you who believe in fate look back to our first preseason game last year (I'll give you a clue...we played the Browns and we lost). Just saying.

I'd compare the Eagles to Man City. Lots of big name stars and potential, but perhaps a group of top players rather than a team.

Derby, so bitter!
I'd like to Browns to do well this year but I just can't see it happening.
Lion should take second spot here, they should crush the Bears' o-line.

Re: Who will win the NFC North?
Not convinced we've seen the best of the Packers just yet.
Scraped into the play offs last year after suffering the IR list from hell all season, got a couple of players healthy and then went into everyones back yard and destroyed them.
Bears will be good, Lions will be better but much depends on Stafford health, Vikes could be wooden spooners, but Packers will win this div and comfortably

Re: Who will win the NFC North?
There's a lot of talk along the lines of 'depending on Stafford's health' this offseason which is understandable but everything I've seen suggests the injuries he has had shouldn't have a lasting impact. Off course the Lions need to stop new injuries occurring but they allowed 0 sacks this weekend so that's a good start.

Voted for the Packers, think it'll be close between the Bears and the Lions for 2nd an a playoff spot, really hope Stafford shows what can do for the whole season as I'm a big fan of his.

And regarding the Lions, they also have no secondary

Pack should be strong and I give them the nod, but I think Detroit are going to be good and might give them a run for their money. Stafford has looked really great and they have an awesome receiving corp as well as a ferocious defensive line.

Re: Who will win the NFC North?
The Packers will be the strongest team in the division and win it, the Lions will improve again, it will be interesting to see by how much.
The Bears and Vikings seemed to have lost their way a bit.

Definitely not me!
I've (unsurprisingly) added to the ever growing pile of Packers votes.
Basically you have a team that won the Superbowl with about 11/12 guys on IR that would have played a decent role if healthy, albeit not all starters. A bunch of them are back and players like Sam Shields and Brian Bulaga who developed well last year should continue to grow.
Not going to go out and say that there locked on to repeat, but they will still be hunt come January without a question.
Would even be tempted to say the Lions will finish second if they can just find a pass defense of any form

Re: Who will win the NFC North?
I'm not convinced how many of those guys were key players, or even would've outplayed their backups if healthy. You could make the case for Grant and Finley, but I'm not convinced many of the others who returned will make the Packers that much stronger

Packers for me, have to really!!
I wouldn't say it'll be as easy as the poll indicates, lets not forget that the Pack were only second last year, and the Lions are starting to look formidable.

Packers for me obviously...hoping they'll be better this year than last, and even have a running game. I think it will be close between Bears and Lions for second and third with Vikings a distant 4th.

Re: Who will win the NFC North?
The easiest division to vote on
Packers are a class apart
Think any of the other 3 could grab 2nd in the division, not sure any of them will get a wild card [all are behind Bucs/Falcons/Giants IMO]

I think I defined them as "guys on IR that would have played a decent role if healthy, albeit not all starters." You have clearly pointed out the two "key" players who were lost... and I would have added Nick Barnett as a relatively sizeable loss during the season. Otherwise it was more a case of losing bodies and having to bring in guys who didn't know the system and had to plug holes, regardless of whether it was starters or rotational players. The point is you bring back the key guys this year and hope that it can't be that bad injury wise this year and that the players we have in rotational roles wont have to be replaced by guys from here there and everywhere. As such the Packers could be argued to be stronger from day 1.

Undoubtedly they'd be stronger for it, but not to the extent some people seem to be suggesting. Barnett won't be returning either.

Gotta pick the defending champs.
A healthy Grant and Finley makes that offense all the more potent, they kept most of their parts from last season too and they just look to damn good!!
