Then hhh saying he would speak to cena, nope he didnt.

The main feud is between the COO, his wife, the talent relations man, and a semi-retired former WCW main eventer his 50s.
It's turning into TNA!

Re: Raw was epic
boomdangle, he spoke to Cena off camera, that's why he went into his locker room.
Crips, you missed out (intentionally I assume) CM Punk, who despite whether you think he won't be a part of it in a few months time, is currently probably the biggest cog in the storyline, he's still getting huge reactions and whether or not Nash insults the way he looks or not, Punk is still hugely over and WWE isn't going to ignore that.
I also think WWE may be pushing the fact that CM Punk is not the biggest of guys to show how he isn't produced by the WWE "machine" which is a big part of his character, and it also means he connects with the crowd as he seems more like an Average Joe, and that you don't have to be huge to be the best.
I thought Raw was fairly strong, and is keeping me wanting to carry on watching it, something that I hadn't done for about two years before Punk's promo. Morrison and Truth was a fairly good match, Swagger might finally stop getting buried as he has got a win and may be paired with Vickie, I can see a feud with Dolph there over Vickie and Del Rio versus Mysterio was a good match.
I do like Alberto Del Rio, although I seem to be alone in that case, but I actually think he could make a very good face, and I think a face turn for Del Rio isn't too far away. I liked his promo to start Raw as well.

Re: Raw was epic
Del Rio could possibly be the most boring champion in years. The only thing he's bought to the table in the last 12 months is that "it's his destiny". Now he's there what angle can he use to make himself stand out?
All in All, Raw was pretty good. I thought the whole Punk angle was going stale fast heading into SS but they've twisted it nicely and looking forward to what could happen next.

I don't mind Del Rio although he hasn't really stood out to me so far as a surefire star. He still seems too one-dimensional considering the level he's been pushed at.
My greatest concern would be that Del Rio, the world champion, is probably priority number six in current Raw storylines, after Cena, Triple H, Punk, Steph and Laurenaitis. It reminds me a little bit of when Miz was champion heading into Wrestlemania but was so clearly an afterthought to Cena and Rock.

Cena and rock would overshadow most people, I feel miz held his own on the mike and had some memorable moments (him masquerading as rock is still my moment of the year, the crowd genuinely thought it was the rock).
Currently ADR is at risk of being over shadowed by a 'retired' 50 year old and the bosses wife.

I liked John Cena's promo but didn't get why he was down on Del Rio for cashing in MitB, winning that match in Chicago entitled him to cash in when and where, still i liked his tone and his delivery for a change

Re: Raw was epic
So there having Cena vs Del Rio for the title
Leaving Punk to feud with HHH/Nash
Raw was OK i expected better but it could of been a lot worse. It again has maked me very excited for next weeks Raw which im guessing is the objective getting viewers to stay tuned in.

I agree wafer thin excuse's just to yet again get Cena in the title picture, it's a truth we have to accept.
Punks statement "The opprtunities are just given to you (Cena) while I have to scratch and claw to get mine" (words to that affect)
becomes all the more apparent.

BUT.. do remember that Punk is 2 and 0 against Cena with no seemingly current plans for them to work another PPV for a while. Also, Punk has arguably the bigger feud. Yes the title isn't involved but it is probably going to have a larger spotlight on it.
I wouldn't be surprised if Cena was going to look to get ADR over though I think that ADR needs a new finisher as Cena won't tap and that enziguri (sp?) kick is a bit lame.

It's not a finisher but the execution of it is brilliant.
Just as long as Nash is the small part to this feud and not lead to Punk vs Nash st the next PPV.

What I think of Cena's reasoning:
People can have different views on the same thing you now Owl? Punk clearly said he didn't think it was bad of Del Rio because Punk had done the same thing twice in the past, John Cena has only ever won honourably, so feels it isn't right of Del Rio to win that way.

Re: Raw was epic
I don't understand why it's clutching at straws though? I thought that was the reason straight away, especially after CM Punk explained that the reason he wasn't peed off at Del Rio was because he had done the same thing before.

What about his re-match clause Owl though? You were the one going on about it when Mysterio lost his title....Cena lost the title so has his automatic re-match clause I assume.

Re: Raw was epic
without having seen Raw it all sounds a little confusing now with the emergence of Nash and Del Rio cashing in the MITB to become new WWE champion; but I think it has a lot of potential. I don't think there will be a Nash v Punk match in the near future. I think Punk will stay in the title picture at NOC and possibly beyond that - the way his rise to prominence has taken place over the last couple of months the WWE would be foolish to demote him so quickly. SS proved he is still a huge draw for the WWE at the moment.
As for Punk coming across as an average joe comment I think there is some truth in that, but I think the reason he is so over with fans is because he's earnt their respect first by going through the independents and more recently through his sheer talent to sell a feud. Fans appreciate genuine talent when they see it. Fans aren't as ignorant as the WWE executives would like to think. For instance Chicago is a big wrestling city. ROH regularly put shows on there and the reaction is always at a feverpitch. The WWE were really wise to give Punk the freedom going into Chicago because that crowd were ravenous (in a positive way). The crowd at LA for SS caught onto that and I think fans are beginning to educate themselves as to who is the real deal and who isn't. I'd really like to see more wrestling fans at shows rather than just WWE fans who buy hook line and sinker anything the WWE produces.

Re: Raw was epic
I thought RAW was decent really, Again your trying to get the answers but the questions change again. And again this will build up for the next couple of weeks.
Thought the JoMo/Truth match was a real decent match and really good for the opening match on the card. What's Up with Truth having his old music re-mixed WTF?
Del Rio can be a good champion if he is pushed right, They have started him off in the right way, He did beat one of his biggest rivals in the last 12 months and he beat him cleanly. Both CM Punk & John Cena are both in-titled to rematches so this just adds more options. The Nash/HHH thing hasn't been made clear yet, Obviously something bigger is going to happen with them 2
But Overall I do think RAW was decent this week.

Re: Raw was epic
I actually think that the not being involved with the title wouldn't be Punk being demoted, the Triple H/Nash/Punk and whoever else gets involved will be the biggest feud of the WWE not the title picture, I think he might stay involved with the title picture up until NoC though and he'll get cost the title again.
We might see Punk use his re-match Owl, but then again he may be too focused on getting revenge on HHH and Nash that he forgets about it.

Cena has beef with hhh also for 'screwing' him out of the title,so that could link in nicely with punk/hhh/nash.
You can't say you aren't intrigued.
Can see a triple threat match at noc!

This was the first WWE event I saw in months on TV.
I was really looking forward to it.
And it was pants.

Re: Raw was epic
Was a very poor show given that Steph was on it and that it added absolutely nothing fresh to it. Again we have John Cena in the WWE Title match. I am more interested in the HHH/Punk angle and how it pans out. why the hell Miz was selling Subway was beyond me. His fall from grace continues to sadden me.

Re: Raw was epic
I don't think it's a fall from grace LK, sure he isn't doing well in terms of wrestling, but it's a good sign that WWE are using him to promote the WWE, they are using him in other media, putting him on talk shows and promoting their products, it shows that they want him to be associated with the WWE name.
I can't see anything but a main event return fairly soon for The Miz.

I thought it was another good RAW and am looking forward to each Main Event promo and match
Next PPV is Night of Champions with just title matches so i expect a 4 way with ADR retaining
then maybe
Nash to cost Punk again so next PPV
ADR beats Cena
Punk beats Nash
Survivor Series
ADR Vs Punk
Cena team Vs Rock team

I wouldn't say Stephanie's involvement added nothing new, almost immediately I thought "maybe she sent the text from Hunter's phone behind his back" which could potentially lead to a power struggle down the line

I reckon it was Laurinitis, or however you spell it that sent the text. Maybe Steph, Laurinitis and Vince are all going to be in cahoots against HHH, who knows.

I don't think me have MITB buys yet let alone Summerslam
Raw ratings = 3.27 up from 3.09 last week
Very intriguing Raw in my opinion. It actually seems like they've got a long term goal again. After a month of chaos, no champ, 2 champs, vince ousted, Trips COO, the pace has been slowed down & this Nash/Triple H/Punk angle appears to have some legs.
Nash used sparing in this capacity as a non active on air talent could work very well
