Scotland Team For Italy
R Lamont (Toulon),
M Evans (Castres),
N De Luca (Edinburgh),
G Morrison (Glasgow Warriors),
S Danielli (Ulster),
D Parks (Cardiff Blues),
M Blair (Edinburgh),
A Dickinson (Sale Sharks),
S Lawson (Gloucester),
M Low (Glasgow Warriors),
N Hines (Clermont Ferrand),
A Kellock (Glasgow Warriors),
K Brown (Saracens),
R Vernon (Sale Sharks),
J Barclay (Glasgow Warriors)
Replacements: D Hall (Glasgow Warriors), E Murray (Newcastle Falcons), R Gray (Glasgow Warriors), R Rennie (Edinburgh), C Cusiter (Glasgow Warriors), R Jackson (Glasgow Warriors), N Walker (Ospreys)
An utter clear-out by His Andyness.
Time at last to see how our slowest and least creative halfback pairing work together.
The ball will be slower than an ice age and then booted away.
Good points:
1. Richie Vernon back on the pitch! Let's see what the gangling speedster can do.
2. Hines and Kellock is an awesome second row.
3. Eugene - is he in any kind of form at all? Let's find out.
4. Rory, Max and Daniele. Good lord. There's possibly even try potential there...
Bad points:
1. Our front row will be horsed in the tight.
2. The dual penalty liabilities Dickson and Lawson on the field at the same time. Can we just reach some kind of offsetting arrangement where we start Italy on 12 points from the opening whistle?
3. Blair and Parks - Dumb and Dumber.
Your thoughts please.

Re: Scotland Team For Italy
If the ball can get further than Morrison than it looks like a decent time, DeLuca has decent pace and Danielli and Evans provide a decent threat on the wings as does Lamont from full back. Think Scotland will take it.

Re: Scotland Team For Italy
Looks like Scotland teams of recent seasons, great back 5, good/very good back 3, ok elsewhere, excepting front row and 10/12. The front-row (against France for example) and 10/12 have cost us many points/games in the past. If they play like they can we will win by a couple of scores. If they fail then Italy will fancy their chances despite the quality we have elsewhere.
I'll be positive and say they will fight for the ticket on the plane - Scotland by 9

If its raining, expect Dan Parks to kick the bobbles off of the ball and Scotland to win 9-7.

Re: Scotland Team For Italy
glad im not going to this game.Italy are going to just grind us in the scrum, and Parks and Morrison wont get our backline firing if it takes a hundred years.
Was hoping wed get to see laidlaw in some capacity, not sure what this means for his chances.
Bit harsh also that Cairns is the only capped player not getting a shot in either game, but its clear Robbo doesnt rate him.
