Strange Dream
I had a strange dream last night - I was Rafa Nadal, and had just won the Canadian Masters on the Sunday and was then told I had to play my first Cincinnati match on the Monday. Obviously I was very angry, so I decided to ring the President of the United States. Except it wasn't Obama, it was John F. Kennedy. At first they put me onto a guy pretending to be JFK, but he had a Scottish accent, so I wasn't fooled. After a short delay, I managed to speak to JFK, who said he he try to sort it out. Then I woke up.
Any budding Sigmund Freud's out there care to comment?

Re: Strange Dream
eeerm - you don't believe Obama when he says 'he can', you're hankering for the golden age of 'Camelot'....you're suspicious of Scotsmen......I give up
I was dreaming last night that I was at a Christmas drinks party in a swanky New York hotel with Donald Trump, Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton (all of whom were in their twenties) and Kate Winslet. Richard Burton was very, very boring and wouldn't let anybody drink and I was trying to find the champagne bottle to fill my glass up for most of the dream........very random!
It's odd to notice we both spend the majority of the night with the deceased!

Re: Strange Dream
Did you finish every sentence with "no?" and were you pulled up for delay of play?
If not you are dreaming that your parents didn't really love you and everything is a fraud.

Re: Strange Dream
Julius... your are running your own internal 'era' debates in your head,
1. with Rafa perhaps influenced by Barrystar's autobiography article,
2. JFK (the Cold War and Cuba), similar to TMF
3. Murray (a Scot) and his claim to fame, ,
Let us know when the next dream occurs, the collective Freud/Jung consciousness on 606v2 will assist.

Not sure, I seem to recall thinking (during my dream) '"I need to put 'no?' at the end of my sentences"

Re: Strange Dream
LF,
It did occur to me afterwards that the Scottish person might represent Murray, especially as he was just the pretender to the throne. Did I get the JK (John Kennedy) from DJoKovic?
nitb - what about a Cadbury's Wispa at midnight?

It probably did come from Djokovic, but my initial 'diagnosis' was based on a three-letter acronym for a popular persona, i.e., TMF.

Re: Strange Dream
STOP PRESS!
the rumors formerly spread on 606 that hard courts have become blue clay ARE RIGHT!!!
Just saw Stepanek shake some sand off his trainers with a racquet. He DID just get broken, though

I am clearly the most qualified person to provide an insightful interpretation of your dream, Julius mate.
Just consider that:
Aged 5 I read all the Freud's Opera Omnia in the original language
Aged 7 I analyzed my classmates with encouraging results
Aged 10 I wrote my first book: Tennis and Psycoanalysis for beginners
Now I am busy writing a new book: "Inside the Nadal's mind", a sure bestseller.
Regarding your dream you should remember that dreams in the Freudian theory have always an hidden sexual meaning. Now if you were Nadal in your dream that means that you are falling for a very young and a bit silly girl (fan of Nadal type) ,those days. You wanted to speak to JFK but talk to Obama: the teen must be black although you wanted a blond like Marylin. Scottish accent: you feel like Judy Murray with Feliciano Lopez, a bit overage. Now hope everything's clear but feel free to ask for further advise to P_M: your virtual psychoanalyst!

Ah, now I see the Daily Telegraph 'ghost writer' connection....

Would you care to analyse from a Jungian perspective?

Re: Strange Dream
Many apologies, LF dear. I have never been such a great expert of jung. My others specializations include David Icke and the Illuminati theory. Do you fancy an Ickean interpretation?
