606v2 IPL - Rules
Franchise Squads
Must have squads larger than 16 and smaller than 30
Must have at least 12 Indians in the overall squad
Must have at least 8 under 25's in the overall Squad
Maximum of 18 foreign players in the overall squad
Match Day Line-ups
Must have at least 6 Indians in the playing XI
Must have at least 4 under 25's in the playing XI
Maximum of 5 Foreign (Non-Indian) players in the playing XI
Season
The season will last for 12 weeks.
Week 1 - Auction
Weeks 2-10 - One match per week, teams to be submitted by Midnight Saturday. We vote on who we think would win and who Top Scorer/Top Wicket Taker would be.
Week 11 - The Final.
This will be followed by a short break before the second season.
Buying Players
All teams will start with £1million for the auction. Each coach is limited to 2 exchanges and 2 transfers per day. As I am running the league my decision is final on the value of players. When I am bidding then the decision will then rest with the rest of the league. This bids will be written up on the Auction page.
For example:
Kochi Tuskers bid £400,000 for James Anderson
This could be accepted as long as no other teams bid more. However, a bid of £350,000 would be far too low at the beginning of the auction. The Auction will last a week, and thus lower offers may be accepted towards the end of the auction. Any players unsold will become free agents, these can be signed during the first 5 weeks of the season for half of their original Auction price. All purchases must be confirmed on the Player Confirmation page.
Player Exchanges
During the first 5 weeks of the season players can be exchanged between teams (but only 2 per team per day!). These are done between individual coaches and must then be confirmed on the Player Confirmation page.
Season Lockdown
After the first 5 games the Franchises will be locked and no more player exchanges or purchases can occur.

Does anyone think any other rules are needed?

Re: 606v2 IPL - Rules
No. The Auction is for players outside the competition only. You are free to release players if you wish for their apparent value.
E.g. Releasing AB de Villiers would net you £400,000 for use in the Auction. He would then be available for purchase in the auction by any of the other franchises.
However, you are free to exchange players during the time the auction is open but only in exchange for players already in the league.
Hopefully that makes sense

You say that no more than 5 non-Indians are allowed in a squad, but we all already have more than 5, I believe?

No more than 5 in the match day squad. Doesn't matter in the actual franchise.
Re: 606v2 IPL - Rules
You should probably change that line then under the franchise list.
Makes it sound like you can only have 5 in your squad.

Re: 606v2 IPL - Rules
Change it to the match day lineups part. The number of foreigners being 18 should stay under the franchise part, but the bit about 5 being selected should be under match day lineups.
