A Wales XV thats not going to the RWC

Could this be the makings of a Wales A team - I appreciate 30 are away.

In all seriousness, decent team. Defo enough depth for an A team in Wales.

And people say we haven't got enough for an A Team.

On the team itself though

I thomas not a T/head bit Lewis Roberts is
D Jones not good enough anymore so maybe Welch or Day (I think)

I disagree with Dunc but am aware of some of the deficiencies - posted just to start some interest - some decent players there for me with the following pushing in the next year or 2

I meant Deiniol in 2nd row, I do think we are a bit short there after the ones currently in WC Squad.

Lewis Evans was in great form for us last season as was Wayne Evans.

Most of the players we would have in the A-team would be playing regular rugby in the regions is playing somebody elses A-team going to be any tougher.
And those that do have A-teams have the same problems if not more than as us when it comes to selecting the 1st XV

Then again Cymro we could just scrap the Regions and have a Wales I st XV and an A, B, C and D team - they could be called

Tovey would be an option, but Sweeney covers centre aswell.

Agreed but if this was an A Side then thats how they get experience. I would see no point at all in playing Williams or Sweeny in an A Side

Added to that you have selected Andrews, Turnbull, Hewitt, Harries and Thomas who have 6 caps between them?

And I forgot about Ben Smith - he can slot in at 12 ahead of Crotty

NZ not going to world cup team looks good in the front 5. Backs look terrible though apart from Gear, Sivi and Maitland. Didn't even know Sean could play at full back.

Dagg's injury meant Maitland spent most of the season for the Crusders at fullback, he was very effective on the counter-attack. Though Ben Smith can play there too.

Maitland had a very good season for the crusaders.
