holiday book - advice please! Empty holiday book - advice please!

Hi everyone,

Im off on holiday in a fortnight and have a long flight i was thinking of taking a couple of wrestling related books with me but don’t know which to take. Was after all your worldly advice! I know how many books there are out there so ill give you a brief bit about what im interested in and hope that will give you a starting point. Thanks in advance!

Basically i am looking for a biography by someone who has worked in at least a couple of well known promotions and who talks quite a bit about some of the following things such as road stories, gossip, backstage politics, more of an inside look at the business and most importantly talks about other wresters, their relationship with them and working with them etc. This may sound like i am asking for alot from said book but really i am just looking for a book that tells me more about the business and the wrestlers who occupy it and not jsut the subject of the book.

I have already read have a nice day and thought it was excellent, i was thinking strongly about getting a Chris Jericho book but i know he has a number and not sure which one is the best. If it helps I was a huge fan of the WWF during the federation years and attitude years and a fan of TNA since about 2007 i did not watch WCW at the time but have watch a lot since of old matches etc so i am not averse to reading about WCW, i have also read bischoff and flair biography’s.

Thanks for the help!

Simply put THE one to read is Bret Hart's, without question. Sure he's his own biggest mark but with it being written not under the WWE umbrella (and scrutiny of Vince) and prior to his return he doesn't pull punches.

Bret's is the best I've read but Gary Hart is a close second,Bischoff's was a very decent read too, can't wait for Heyman's book

It's certainly bitter in places, HBK comes in for a bit of grief to say the least, but yes he talks about guys like Dynamite Kid, Bulldog, Warrior, Hogan, Flair, Rock, HHH and even guys like Giant Haystacks.

I'd say that really the Foley book to read is "Have a Nice Day", the others are good but that is the best one.

I quite enjoyed Chris Jericho's new book "Undisputed" as well, so I would reccomend those two.

I can recommend William Regal's and Edge's. They were both great holiday books.

The books I'm most interested in are ones that give great backstage stories from the 80s & 90s
