Can't Fly Won't Fly

Romania will be without one of their better players because he couldn't face the flight to NZ. A bit of a break down in communication I think - what a bizarre story. Remember his name, Catalin Fercu - one for future sports quizes I bet.

I think someone told him the Great White was the flight engineer on the plane.

Didn't they learn anything from watching The A-Team? Mr T had a fear of flying, so the others used to distract him and put him to sleep for the duration of the flight. Usually by a hard punch in the face.

Have you tried punching a Romanian in the face? They don't notice it.

I have a phobia of flying right now and would be terrified of doing a long haul flight so I can understand were Catalin is coming from. It's a shame he couldn't overcome it, I'm sure they could have gave him medication to help him. I find a couple of inflight stellas helps me a bit....

Surely not. Nobody would've knocked BA out by a punch. They used to drug him didn't they?

I don't remember the programme in detail, but I do remember, almost every week BA would come out with that line about not getting on a plane...and then they'd get him on one.
