Taker vs DX at Wrestlemania 28
First topic message reminder :
Right i want to see what peeps think of my following idea:
As HHH and HBK have both failed 2 times at taking the streak what if they decided to join forces in a handicap match against Taker. i know HBK is retired but i could see him being tempted for this kind of scenario.
i see it as no DQ and after a long match DX eventually batter taker, Sledghammers etc and finally get the win but have lots of near falls and really make it a long match with dx throwing the kitchen sink at him.
i know there are alot of taker fans on here who will hate this idea and want to see him retire 20-0 but at the end of the day wrestling is all about moments. and if taker can put his ego aside and let it go 19-1 for that one memorable moment that you can be sure would make every fan mark out big time and would make it an epic night.
the only problem i have with taker losing his streak at wm28 is that it could take away from the main event rock cena( just like hogan rock did before jerico and hhh)
anyway, thoughts?????

Re: Taker vs DX at Wrestlemania 28
What if they booked DX vs Taker this year, and Taker won?
Takes HHH out early (steals sledgehammer from under ring and clocks him), then goes 10 minutes with HBK until HHH gets back up and accidentally takes out Shawn with a hammer blow of his own. 10 more minutes and then as HHH is about to be tombstoned HBK climbs to the apron, thinks better of it and leaves HHH to get pinned.
I still wouldn't do it but it would be better than the A-Train and Big Show match.
If he can't really go anymore then it should be kept as a squash match or protected in a Triple Threat until they have a good idea or until the right opponent becomes available.
----------------------------------------
What if instead of one up and coming star it was given to two?
Say the MCMG defected to WWE and challenged him on the way in - Taker could basically stand in the middle of the ring while they had a 4-star match around him.
Launch 2 stars, end the streak and reinvigorate the tag division in one go.
But the Taker doesn't retire then - he should still win his last match at Mania the year after. No way should he end his career on a loss, and thats the thing with such an iconic character - how to wrap it up?
I'd give Hogan another big payday and have Taker going out like he came in (well, ish) - at the top, beating Hogan.

I really don't like that idea - the MCMG are fantastic but to just invade the WWE and beat Taker at Mania to end the Streak when there are far more worthy guys is wrong. If its going to be someone new and not on the current roster then have one of the rising stars from FCW break through the year before and have a massive year to establish their credibility on the main shows with some high profile upper mid card/break through main event feuds such as against Orton or Sheamus and then have them challenge Taker saying they've grown up watching Taker succeed at Mania and its been their dream to establish a Mania legacy of their own - what better way than to end the streak! Taker accepts the challenge saying he's been through hell and back with HHH and shall never be beaten.
Otherwise let Taker retire on 20-0 and wait a couple of years. Have Barrett return from injury and say he's had a long time to think about his career and future and has come to the conclusion he wants to become the first ever British world champion and that nothing this time is going to stand in his way. Kane becomes No 1 contender for the WHC title but Barrett takes him out leading to a high profile feud between the two resulting in either a last man standing or stretcher match at TLC. Barrett wins and rips Kane's mask off as a trophy, gloating that he's ended Kane's career. Barrett enters the Rumble and makes it to the last three with Barrett looking the strong favourite to win. Suddenly the arena blacks out with Taker's gong sounding and his pyrotechnics exploding bring the lights back on, Barrett stands in shock staring at the entrance when from underneath Taker bursts through the ring and eliminates Barrett. The next night on Raw Barrett comes out fuming that Taker denied him his spot at Mania, when a Taker vignette appears on the Titentron claiming he has come back for revenge on his brother Kane and the abhorent way in which Barrett disrespected him. As the vignette is playing Taker's priests come out at ringside holding torches, then the lights go out and Taker appears in the middle of the ring behind Barrett, Barrett turns around but Taker grabs him and delivers a choke slam. Then Taker who is standing over Barrett who is clutching his throat picks up his mic and says Barrett's judgement will come at Mania, in a casket match. At Mania the two are evenly matched with Taker about to powerbomb Barrett into the open casket; Barrett manages to fight his way out of it and gets some sawdust concealed in a pouch in his boots and throws it in Taker's face distracting him allowing him to perform wasteland into the casket and closes the lid!
