Tu'o Vaega (who scored the winning try vs Wales in 91)'s wife had a baby soon after. Young Cardiff Vaega was picked up by Southland's rugby academy earlier this year.

In 2002, I had the pleasure of playing alongside one of the heroes of Cardiff in 1991 for a season – tryscorer Sila Vaifale. I used to bother him no end to tell me what it was like, but after a few tokes, he was always keen to divulge!
