What is the best county championship side of the season thus far, here is mine, you know the drill...

1)Tom Smith
2)Marcus Trescothick (C)
3)Wes Durston
4)Dale Benkenstein
5)Darren Stevens
6)Sean Ervine
7)Mark Wallace (WK)
8)David Masters
9)Andre Adams
10)Gary Keedy
11)Chris Woakes

There must of been about 5 of these threads :P

Bairstow over Wallace I would say. Ervine shouldn't be near that side he's had a poor year.

Average of 31 with the bat and bowling average of 55 not exactly worthy to be in a best XI.

I always am:P Tom Smith hasn't had a brilliant year either, but apart from that great side. Spot on with the bowling

If Masters gets injured I would suggest the Viscount (Tim Linley) as backup.

For 4 day cricket, based purely on County performances:

Trescothick
Hales
Rogers
Benkenstein
Stokes
Bairstow
Stevens
Woakes
Adams
Sidebottom

Average of 41 this season, probably better middle orders out there this season.

I would have Durston in my side for both 1 day and fc, was gutted Somerset let him go but he would have never gotten a chance up the order tbh
