Simon Shaw's Club?
Does Simon Shaw genuinely not have a club to return to? And why is this?
I can't believe there aren't teams out there that'd wouldn't want him in their squad. The blokes a legend and still top quality after 38 years, it seems a shame if he doesn't have a last swan song in the prem.

I assume because hes planning to retire and be able to walk when hes 60.
Its more likely he'd take a payday in Japan or France if he did sign a new contract.

I'm sure it's down to his choice. He's probably got plenty of offers but wants to see how he feels at the end of the RWC. Does he really want to slug it out for another season in the Aviva?

The players are being well paid by their countries for the world Cup, some of them clearly want to get the world Cup out the way before worrying about a club contract, the chances are a lot of the players will want to visit the club and the area they could potentially move too. They would need to look for houses, schools for their kids etc.
Do players really want all that hassle and distration while their in a World Cup?

Best thing for him would probably to get a hefty pay day in Japan for a year then retire.
Maybe we'll see him on Strictly Come Dancing in a couple of years time!
