The only game more delayed than Gran Turismo 5. Like Enforcer said, I'll believe it's released when I see it.

Re: Duke Nukem Forever
I'm still not sure it's ever going to be released, but there appears to have been a great deal of work done on DNF in the last year or so.
Interesting that most big games set to be released in March/April have been delayed... Rockstars already massively pre-ordered LA Noire is set for release during that period, not to mention the 3DS has just been released too. I wonder whether or not the delays are purely tactical...

Very possible, and it wouldn't be the first time that's been done. A huge big-name release can scupper even the most highly-reviewed titles on launch.

Re: Duke Nukem Forever
Release day today! Had it on pre-order and they said it should arrive on today...can't wait to get home from work to see. I can't remember ever being this excited about a new game - half expecting a letdown now!

I've heard it's pretty terrible. Sorry Enforcer! That was coming from somebody my age though, so I assume you played the original games and might enjoy the game a bit more.

Isn't that stolen from that film with Roddy Piper in it?

Re: Duke Nukem Forever
Im not sure, I haven't seen the film. But I played the original Duke Nukem games on the n64 and loved them. Apart from Goldeneye it was one of the best 1st person shooters out.

Re: Duke Nukem Forever
It isn't great tbh. I'm enjoying it as I loved the old Duke games.
The load times between levels (even small ones) is really slow even after installing the game to the harddrive. Some of the animation looks like it was done at the start of the games production and hasn't been updated to keep up with current standards.
I think most fans of the series will enjoy it, even if it is just nostalgia. The sense of humour is still there and parts have made me laugh. I don't think this will win the franchise many new fans though.

Re: Duke Nukem Forever
Can you still get the jetpack though? And are the aliens still pigs? Those are the deciding factors!

Yeah it's from the film They Live. Not seen it in years but seem to remember it having a ten minute fight scene.
Also heard that Piper contributed alot of his lines (such as the bubble gum one).

The aliens are still pigs. Haven't played it enough to see about the jetpack, but you can get shrunk and drive a RC car!

If it's gone down that low so quickly it's probably not a good sign!

Re: Duke Nukem Forever
I was enjoying it, but the load times have caused me to lose interest.
Being a pretty crabby gamer I die plenty and don't want to wait ages before I get to do it again!
