Gary Buckland
I just wanted to say how proud I am of Gary, I used to box out of Splott ABC with him when we were kids and he was one of the younger boys coming up, he wasn't great at that point but he was such a hard worker. I watched the fight last night and was so impressed with his work rate, I just wanted to say well done Gary because it seems that his British Title win has been overlooked and to be fair it was one of the better fights that has happened this year!
Well done Gary boy!!

Re: Gary Buckland
I second that mate.
I've seen him in at St Joeys a few times and have believed after the Prizefighter win he should have gained a lot more exposure. I guess that was all down to Hatton though.
The fact is though, he should have had that fight with Sykes last year but Sykes and Maloney wanted no part of it... I think we all know why. The only thing they done by delaying the fight was delaying the inevitable and make Gary (Buckland) more focused.
That's 2 more British champs for Tony Borg and St Josephs Gym now!
Well done boys.

Re: Gary Buckland
I disagree, I thought it was a snorefest. Typical one dimension fighters without half decent power. I fell asleep after the 3rd round
Re: Gary Buckland
DeeMcK, we're just giving some recognition. Not calling it the performance of the century. I think that if you personally knew someone who had won a title in a pretty big domestic fight you would so the same

Re: Gary Buckland
Was Only messin about lads. I thought it was a great scrap. Great heart shown by both. Sykes deserves the belt outright tho I think he's a decent little fighter. Buckland is great to watch. Exciting lad!!
Was on the wind up earlier haha

Should have known better from you DeeMcK haha.
I was on the lash last night so I haven't even seen the fight! I was hoping I could find somewhere that was playing it
I'll watch it on Sky Player tomorrow.
Looking forward to seeing Unions Prediction League anyway. I've got 3 out of 3 so far.

Re: Gary Buckland
It was a completive fight as Johnny Nelson couldn't stop telling us. Fair play to Buckland for taking his chance and he deserved it.
Seems to be set up for another fight between these two.

Re: Gary Buckland
I did correct result aswell.
I was impressed with him in defeat with Murray and thought he made the right choice dropping down in weight. As prizefighter proved.

Re: Gary Buckland
Seen Buckland a couple of years ago on a jason booth undercard, looked decent then and made apoint of looking out for him.
Put a tener on him at 8/1 for prize fighter, fantastic value if you consider he almost went the distance with murray who is euro class, and then dropped in weight.

Re: Gary Buckland
He's got heart but alas both him and Sykes were very limited...
One has to think they both get wiped out by a guy with a little dose of class..
Good fight and both honest pros though...however Sykes is too easy to hit and Buckland completely 1-d.
