Choose a KO! Empty Choose a KO!

Post by ONETWOFOREVER Tue 27 Sep 2011, 5:58 pm

This is the sequel to Mr Bounce's previous article. I just wondered if you could choose any KO in history to execute on a fighter of you're choice what KO would it be and why?

For me I would be facing Joe Calzaghe in front of 55'000 Welsh supporters at the millenium stadium and my ko of choice would be Sugar Ray Leonard's devastating 1-2 combo finisher of Donny Lalonde. I would give Joe the first 5 rounds with him looking busy as always and then in the 6th I land a left hook that wobbles old pride of Wales making him stumble blindly back to the ropes, as he rebounds back (still dazed) I unleash the deadly 1-2, straight right hand followed by a left hook Joe knew nothing about. As he falls ever so elegantly to the canvas a hushed silence reverberates around the stadium.

I'd like to do Hearn's straight right vs Duran on you.

Andre Ward or Andre Dirrell, and it'd be the Frenkel KO of Maccarinelli. Or the Benn-McClellan one.

I would love to spark out Junior Witter the way Tua sparked out Ruiz.

That was a bit brutal Kev, what has Witter done to upset you?

My second choice would be Julian Jackson's hook against Graham, against Haye.

Curry's left hook on milton mcrory - Vitali Klitschko or any big heavy with a good-great chin. - (I don't hate him - just like to see a behemoth brought down by perfection rather than brute force)

Hearns' KO of Duran, except that it's done on Pacquiao.

Never liked him. Just like Johnny Nelson a horribly boring big mouth who has nothing to say worth listening to. I wish Hatton had of fought him and sparked him out, Hatton was a class above Witter.

I would love to do what Mercer did to Morrison on Ortiz. He started really annoying me before the Floyd fight. I get the point your parents left and after listening to him for a few weeks I can't blame them.

Boxing related nothing tasteless about it. Although the Bob Arum comment was a bit low. LOL

Edison Miranda's vicious punch on Davids Banks. And I would be performing it on Floyd in the 12th and final round having had him bully me for most of the fight. I think it might be a crowd pleaser, and a career ending punch.

I really think he is a thoroughly unpleasant person boxing

There wasn't a one ko punch during benn mcclellan. McClellan landed a huge shot sending benn out the ring, huge combo.

If we are ok with graphic, Eubanks upper cut on Watson in the second fight was huge. His ko of santos was also huge. Best ko was pacquiao hatton in my lifetime in boxing.

Would I want to ko someone? Only some kiddy fiddler or war criminal. Maybe a looter too.

Didn't say anything about one-punch KOs in the OP. Frankly, which knockout it would be is largely irrelevant, so long as it's hideous. Can't stand that pair of tw@s.

I almost feel bad saying this, as it was one of the most brutal beat downs ever. Duran's beating and ko of Davey Moore, but against Mayweather Jnr after a especially nasty pre-fight build up.

Ahhhh, the satisfaction. I can dream !!!! Very Happy

Oleg Maskaev's KO against Hasim Rahman where he punched him outta the ring.

This would be against either:

Sven Ottke in front of 50000 dopey Germans

OR

Andre Ward against a bunch of shouty Americans in Oakland.

Ooh which one to pick! Decisions, decisions.......Can I please have both?
