Be good to see Gary Russel Jr again, is Alexander Povetkin vs. Evander Holyfield free Scott or under subscription?

Is that sarcasm?
It's on BoxNation which I expect may be a pay channel by then.

I heard Warren say it would be free untill the end of the year but his end of the year could be November.

Can I be the first to say that TBA is very busy that month! Always value for money given the volume of fights he takes and at different weights

Any news on a Rios fight? Thought he was supposed to be on the Pacquiao undercard?

Nothing to really get excited about if i'm honest...
Mares vs. Agbeko is probably the pick of the bunch. Be interesting to see how Froch copes with the hugely boring Ward.
I'll no doubt watch all the fights, but nothing to rave about.

Cotto Margarito should be fun purely for the bad blood.
Rios is always entertaining, though no doubt he will be in with someone overmatched.
Khan is always good to watch, though I don't expect Peterson to put up much of a challenge and see him being systematically dismantled.
I'm looking forward to it.

You strike me as the type that is easily pleased.... A bit like my dog, she sat and chewed a tennis ball for 3 hours the other night.

Na, I'm just a boxing fan. Not sure why you'd visit a boxing forum if none of those fights really interest you.Lumbering_Jack wrote:Scottrf wrote:You must be a great person to invite for parties.Lumbering_Jack wrote:Nothing to really get excited about if i'm honest...

I'm also a football fan, but the thought of watching Stoke play Blackburn hardly gets the heart rate going either.
I don't have to get a stiffy over every fight, do I?

Go here: http://www.boxinginsider.com/headlines/box-nation-tv-channel-to-launch-in-uk-930-by-frank-warren/
Hopkins vs Dawson, Stieglitz vs Kessler, Cleverly Bellew....
Sounds like it could be interesting for £10 a month, better than premier sports!

Not that I'll be paying for it, but it is much better value than Premier.

Re: December Looking Good For Boxing!
Didn't think it was happening, but there is Wolak vs Rodriguez, a rematch of their great fight, Rios is fighting Molina and Mike Jones vs Lujan. All on the Margarito-Cotto card, excellent.

That's a great looking card and on the same night the Mares-Agbeko rematch and Moreno-Darchinyan. Sturm-Murray on that night as well along with whatever Fwank puts on boxnation.

Rios is the kind of guy who is pretty much guaranteed to be in a good one as long as they match him properly.

Pacquiao vs Marquez on Primetime, Cotto vs Margarito on Boxnation.
Sky’s boxing coverage is falling apart.

What a joke. I'm cancelling Sky Sports. I can't believe we are having to pay to watch Pacquiao.

Re: December Looking Good For Boxing!
Cotto marg (plus the Murray -Rios fight) and Donaire are all on BoxNation in dec. They also have the Hopkins fight this weekend. There's nothing on the PrimeTime website about pacquiao marquez III, and PT hasn't been on here offering out the free t-shirts which would suggest they don't have it. It's not on Sky's schedule either, but I'm sure either they or BoxNation will make a late play for it - manny is the biggest name in boxing after all.

Oh well, stream for me then. I refuse to have anything to do with PT. Besides, we all know it's gonna be a bit of a beatdown for Marquez sadly. Team Pacquiao wanted nothing to do with him in '08 at 135, but now he's been in a few more wars and mannys physically outgrown him he's suddenly a viable opponent again. Marquez will put on a good show - he always does, but he hasn't got enough left. Manny v Bradley is a fight I'd consider funding PT for, and that now looks likely for next year.

Re: December Looking Good For Boxing!
With Hatton doing a few youtube shows, Warren on Boxnation, Hennessy on 5 and Sky seemingly being outbid for every American fight, it doesn't leave them with a lot outside of Froch does it?

It really doesn't. A year ago I had great hope for the provision of boxing to Brit fans, Sky had been showing every PBF & manny fight, as well as the likes of Bradley Alexander, hoppo pascal etc. and bringing Ringside back plus a blooming domestic scene. There seemed to be a genuine investment of time and finance into it. Things seem to have become fragmented very quickly. Sky were right to deny Khan ppv for the McCloskey fight, but it seems to have loosened their grip on all things GBP and given PT a leg up. Not sure if BoxNation will be a success or not, but being a football fan and boxing fan I resent having to pay £30 a month to watch both with them being on separate subscription channels, and the football wins every time based on there being more of it to watch and Sky's coverage being second to none. I think with BoxNation I'll judge it on a month to month basis depending on the schedule and just subscribe/cancel as I see fit.
