Hold Steady - It's Only Raw!
Two weeks ago on Raw, The Rock made his memorable WWE return. One week ago on Raw, The Undertaker and Triple H made there respective returns after a combined 14 months off TV. Next week, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is advertised to make his TV return. Due to all this excitement tonight's show has the makings of a "hold steady" edition of Raw continuing the build-up to WrestleMania 27.
On Friday, WWE confirmed the match of Hunter vs. Taker for WrestleMania 27. According to WWE's marketing for Raw, tonight's show will be centered on Triple H's formal TV return.
Also on the card for tonight is the continuing build-up to WWE champion The Miz vs. John Cena at WrestleMania, with The Rock hovering over WWE's top title feud. Rock created rumblings on his Facebook page that he might respond to Cena's rap from last week's Raw. I'm sure we'll all be eagerly awaiting another appearance from 'The Great One' during this week's episode.
For the WWE Cena and The Rock are two of their biggest superstars of all time. I doubt they will want to let the two have much interaction - verbal or physical before the actual WrestleMania PPV arrives. WWE will want to save it all for 'the big one', where there will be great expectations of the two creating a brilliant show together.
Another less important situation (but one we want to know the outcome of nonetheless) is that regarding Michael Cole. Raw last week concluded with Jerry Lawler and Josh Mathews on commentary after Michael Cole had run away. He threw a cup of water in 'The King's' face and immediately scarpered after a confrontation. Many of us may have been expecting some kind of grudge match between the two at Mania and Lawler did mention that too. However, Cole reminded us of the repercussions should they be involved in a match. Hopefully we will see if Michael Cole even does return tonight and how the feud will progress.
The advertised main event for Raw is a special referee' tag team match. John Cena & Randy Orton will take on The Miz & C.M. Punk while Michael Cole will take control of the match. I see a pretty obvious outcome here, but we will most likely see a Jerry Lawler involvement to swing the match toasted the faces. Perhaps a beat-down on Cole and then a face referee coming in to count the 123for Cena and Orton.

I had to chuckle at Cole throwing the water at Jerry a la Andy Kaufman all those years back.
Raw has really kicked on in the last few weeks, but why oh why can't they produce good TV aside from WM season?!
