Millen leaves Bristol City
This has been confirmed on the BBC website now, and I think it's safe to say the managerial merry-go-round is kicking up a gear.
My boss is a Bristol City fan, and while not upset, wonders who is out there to replace him...and that surely much of the blame lay at the players doors.

yh i firmly belive its 75% down to players in football. The managers can't do anything while they are playing, the players have to put in the performances.

The usual names will be thrown up such as Iain Dowie etc. I wonder whether Dave Jones, or even Alan Curbishley would be willing to have a go at it.

Being a bristol city fan and maybe the only one on this board...... this was needed, you could see it in the players they just wern't playing for him because he couldn't get them motivated.
I've been watching Sky Sports odds all day near enough current favourite Derek McInnes of St Johnstone at 1/2, Dave Jones 2/1, Mark Robins 4/1, Gianfranco Zola 10/1, Sean O'Driscoll 10/1 out of those I would probably want O'Driscoll did really good things on a small budget at donny and prem clubs always seemed willing to loan him players due to the football style he encouraged.
Dave Jones would be a no for me, the squad he had at Cardiff promotion should have been easy, with our squad...?
Supprised Paul Tisdale (Exeter City) isn't listed, really rate him as a manager and wouldn't mind seing him here either.

Zola - 10/1 haha
Think Bristol City should go for O'Driscoll, he can keep them up

The standout group supposedly is:
Dave Jones, Derek McInnes, O'Driscoll, Mark Robins, Steve Cotterill and Gianfranco Zola, supposedly 3 favourites of Robins, McInnes and O'Driscoll
has to be said the prospect of McInnes excites me more with everything i'm reading about him and could be worth a shot

Re: Millen leaves Bristol City
Millen was a good #2 just was a bit out of his depth as a manager in the championship for a first job.
McInnes looks a very good manager on the up from his previous record, watched his interviews seems very positive so I would back us to stay up.

Re: Millen leaves Bristol City
we won at Barnsley on the weekend and some of our fans were saying its the best weve played for over a year, and weve had their fans saying we played well.... so with a new manager in his 3rd game anything could happen, players hungry playing for the new manager, i remember last time we had a club like yours in the championship being newcastle we drew 2-2 but only because of a goalie mistake.... so yeah anything can happen.
Although personal prediction 2-1 to West Ham

Should be an open game, If we score early i can see us getting 3 or 4. Sam Baldock is in top form and his partnership with Carew is excellent

You're not the only 1 on the forum Hodge. Although more of a follower now as I don't keep as close an eye on things as I used to.

Hope Dekka does a good job there, bit of a modern day legend at Albion.
Re: Millen leaves Bristol City
by the sounds of it he is having an immediate impression on the players and has gotten them playing differently and better already, confident we will stay up
