Re: Week 5 - Voting Page
Hmm first thoughts:
Match 1. Fancy DD if they win the toss, as their opening bowlers should really get stuck in. Could be tighter if RR win toss.
Match 2. My match. Reckon I've got a good team out, but CSK obviously one of the strongest in the competition...
Match 3. Interesting and bold tactic by DC to go in with the five specialist bowlers on a batsman's wicket. Could this and their spin trio swing the gam?. Batting looks a bit weak though.
Match 4. will see when both tactics are up. Kochi have a strong team out with plenty of spin options, though I think McCullum would be better at the top of the order.
Match 5. again, need to see both teams. MI have a strong line-up but have picked Sammy on a wicket where medium pacers are going to struggle, so that's 0-60 already

My game was the hardest decision for the toss, didn't fancy having Razzaq batting second, even though Arafat is a beast

I'm doing Molecular Genetics mate, just started final year and much more scarily final year project. Set off PCR now so 2 hours free, then pipette one enzyme in and incubate for an hour and a half. Which uni are you at then JDizzle?

Knew it was something like that. Yeah, just finished Freshers and it was just pure quality. Likewise Gregers, I have a friend at Sussex and I think she is doing the same course as you, but just a first year and she seems to be enjoying it there.
Will do no Shanky.

Don't make me jealous guys...what I wouldn't give to roll back the years and get involved in freshers week...
I live near to the University of Birmingham, and some of the females walking around the area have been truly outstanding. Fill your boots, gents.

Good man! I'm massively jealous, though...
Nearly had about 4 car crashes as I've been kerb crawling on my way home from work each evening...especially when the sun is out, it brings out the best in this latest crop!

Re: Week 5 - Voting Page
Do more than just a stare, mate! Haha. I expect reports back to the cricket board of your varying degrees of success!
Get a system in place where you report bowling figures back. So 5/50 would be 5 successes from 50 attempts
The snake haha, have you got no arms or legs?

Sainty = King Cobra then? I am definitely more the blind snake! It has been a bit hit and miss so far for me, plenty of time for improvement though, haha.

Re: Week 5 - Voting Page
I never went to uni full time. Did it part time on a day release basis through my job...not the same.
Market research undertaken by me and a few mates (we always used to go out into the local bars on Tuesdays and Thursdays midweek - disguised as students) discovered that the course to do is psychology/social science. An immense percentage of outstanding women.
Given my time again, I'd love to have gone to uni full time on one of the aforementioned bull manure courses, in an attempt to cause some damage!

Nothing wrong with a bit of fun shanky, the cricket section rarely ever goes off topic, so we can let it pass this once!
Anyway, we are waiting for people to vote, aren't we? Might as well stay entertained in the meantime

Didn't mean it to sound like I took it seriously mate.

Re: Week 5 - Voting Page
I'd say just vote if you're ready to, and we can add the other game after.
I've not seem liam about for ages so it may be best to just go ahead and vote.

Re: Week 5 - Voting Page
Yeah people should be given chance to explain, it could be something serious for all anybody else knows...
Re: Week 5 - Voting Page
Exactly mate, people have more important things to do in life than participate in a hypothetical fantasy league on a forum.

Re: Week 5 - Voting Page
I told YI that I wasn't competing in the Furious League anymore so it's alright lads. I will only be away for a few weeks gonna try to knuckle down at 6th form (I seem to have turned stupid in the last few months) I will come on here to do the IPL Fantasy League and hopefully will be involved in Shanky's. My votes will be in later on.

Re: Week 5 - Voting Page
Just had my first lab session, three hours on a Monday afternoon isn't perfect but the two girls who work next to me and my lab partner...
Game 1 - Delhi win - Morkel rips a few wickets out early and the RR innings never recovers. DD get off to a flying start despite losing three wickets in the PP, but are so far ahead of the rate that they can cruise home.
Game 2 - Kings XI win- Controversial one here. Kings batting first is crucial for me as my take is that on tough pitches like this scoreboard pressure is normally crucial and Kings have a strong enough line up to post a good score batting first. The equaliser is of course the potent CSK batting line up, but I think Hussey goes for a rare failure and despite a lone hand from Dhoni, who I think personally is too low at 7, CSK fall short with Dhoni stranded not out.
Game 3 - My match.
Game 4 - Will vote after toss.
Game 5 - Mumbai win - Another incredibly close game against two of the top sides, but I think that the fact that the Indiand top order was brought up on these pitches is crucial and they navigate a difficult chase well after KKR get up to just above par score despite Malinga.

I apoligise for dragging this thread back on topic. I much preferred discussing the merits of the hotness of freshers.
