What makes Manly so special that we have to change a winning formula? Somebody should tell these Silver tails that they might think they run the ARL but they don't run the WCC!!!!

To be honest i think we need to take one down under to see if it can/would work down there. And this would be an ideal one, seeing as they played each other in Leeds not so long ago.
Though if they do do it in Sydney, i think it should be the 1st proper weekend (after the millienium madness opening round), Leeds should play on the saturday, then fly down for the game the following weekend.

Until a WCC is played in Australia again we will never know if it could work . Give it a go .

The problem of holding down under is when to play it.
You can't expect a Super League club to travel to Australia once the Super League season has started, and i can't see the Aussie's wanting to play it in January. Perhaps as has been suggested before play it after the Grand Finals and before the start of the 4 nations. so for example this year it would be played in the UK and last year down under.

What makes you feel that England should have an automatic right to host it? What makes you think it's a winning formula? Last world cup was a success and the previous one in England was terrible. Should we stick with that winning formula for future world cups too? You sound very ignorant!

I repeat, it would be good idea to play the WCC in the country thats hosting the 4 nations that year and before the 4 nations competition starts.

Its been announced that next years WCC will be held at Elland Road Leeds in February .
Manly however would like to see it staged at a neutral venue in the future putting forward Dubai as a possiblity .

Yeah, I saw that. Not so convinced about that idea. They'd be lucky to get 5-10,000 to the game.
Call me selfish but I think we should play this fixture in either the UK or Oz.

Unless the date its played is moved i really can't see it being played in Australia.
You can't expect the Super League Grand Final winners to play in Australia once the Super League season has started, which is what the Aussie's would expect.
Its either got to be played before the start of the 4 nations in the country thats hosting the 4 nations that season, or play it at a neutral venue about halfway between the 2 countries.
