Did Rickys Change of Trainer / Strength coach have an impact?
OK this wouldn't have made much a difference to who would win against pac man but did the change from familiar coach Billy and strength coach Kerry make a difference?
Kerry had ricky looking quite "full" and solid at the weight but against pac man he looked quite gaunt. Do you think we would have got a few more rounds from Ricky against pac man if he retained the same team?

I think its subsequently come out that his training camp for Pacquio was far from ideal.
I dont think he and Floyd Snr ever really gelled plus there were rumours of Floyd Snr being late and of Hatton being battered in sparring.
Having said that, people were raving after the Malignaggi fight about how much better Hatton looked and how much more head movement he had etc.
At that stange in his career, and given the type of fighter Hatton was, Im not sure any change would have made a huge difference to the outcome against Pacquiao. He certainly looked better againt Malignaggi than against Lazcano though.

Truth is - he probably didn't train properly against Lazcano, then the "new-coach" effect helped him back up against Malignaggi - but for Pacquiao - his training camp wasn't nearly good enough. It's lucky that punch didn't detonate in the first. Floyd Snr being late (deliberately) to get a drive-thru taco. Hatton rumoured to be doing less than well in sparring.
It should be remembered - that the rumours of Hatton being beaten around in sparring came out AFTER he lost. Which sounds like an excuse. Floyd snr being frequently late, however, is not a rumour - he did it on 24/7.

Nothing would have made a difference. That punch would have felled an ox.

I imagine him doubling as a snow hoover didn't help though.
