Wales v France: Score prediction
France beat an extremely poor England side and lost the 2nd half 12-3. They also lost 2 pool matches, a heavy defeat to NZ and a loss to Tonga which is quite frankly a lot worse than Wales losing to Fiji in 2007.
What this shows us is that France have the ability to lose badly in a world cup and also the ability to lose to anyone. Wales on the other hand SHOULD have beaten South Africa, but it turns out that losing to SA was the biggest blessing Wales have ever had.
Three things that I have noticed about Wales over the last 2/3 decades that have now changed.
There have been many games where Wales have either been leading or very close in the last 10 minutes that they have not been able to hold out.
Fitness was always a major problem.
We always had pathetic non aggressive forwards.
All these have changed. France's 2nd half performance against England is the biggest encouragement for Wales. Wales are definitely one of the front runners in 2nd half performances especially because of fitness and believe. Any Wales side of old would have crumbled to oblivion when Ireland made the score 10-10 but then Wales just stepped up another 2 or 3 gears and completely obliterated them. Wales would have beaten Ireland 30-10 if the missed kicks had gone over. It was a stuffing. Great for confidence because Irelands 27-12 win in Croke last year was a massive embarrassment for the Welsh.
Gatland must be sniggering to himself. So far it's Gatland 3-1 Ireland.
If France are in the lead in the 2nd half then it won't be by more than 1 score. Don't give away penalties because Parra or Yachvilli seem to be rather lethal with the boot.
All I hope is that Hook gives good distribution and takes the chances when they are on. When the Froggies get tired in the 2nd half I think we will see a sublime attacking performace from Hook.
I think that France will slot over a few penalties and may get a try somewhere in the game, but nothing spectacular. I think Wales will keep the score ticking over with 2 tries in the 2nd half.
Wales 23 - 17 France

Wales by 11-15 points. Don't know why, just dontbthink it'll becthat close. Had a double on Wales and France to both win last weekend by 6-10 points. Who'd have thought Wales would have won by more?

France 25 Wales 22 with Halfpenny missing a late kick from the halfway line. Sorry my brethren from the valleys. Truth is you have every ball in your court, I just have a nagging feeling about this French side.

Re: Wales v France: Score prediction
Wales will have two converted tries up the middle, an outside unconverted try from Shane plus 5 penalties (now where's the calculator???) = 34, France will retaliate but with unconverted tries on the wings plus two drop goals = 16. The Welsh discipline has been exemplary in defence and the offensive has been second to none, so I go for Wales 34, France 16.... at the least....

As I said mate, its not Hooky, its the posters that post untruths
The laugh about this is I read the article about Hooks selection and the same old guff and tall tales from Samurai, MOG, etc etc............. Wales never win when Wellies waltzes, but they always do when Hook plays........... what a crock of sh1ite. Its funny when I looked at Hookys game history its nothing like they say, and even though I have proved it they still bang on with their untruths.
I still think with the "team" ethos now presiding in the Welsh camp and the offensive talent of 1/2p, North, Shane, coupled with the explosive power of Roberts and Davies thats as good a back 5 you have in the WC bar none, and with Phillips back to his confident best............ all Hook has to do is make sure the offensive line is straight and make the simple passes.
Surely he can do that!!................... can't he?
Hey by the way Tycroes went past your area today to pick up one of my young grads at 6.30am!! this morning, before a meeting in the Assembly then it was back up to Scotland ready for you boys tomorrow to give me my money!!!
All the best buddy and to everyone in Wales
May the best team win

Wales 25 France 23 - result in dispute right to the end. Wales take the lead with two converted tries, France fight back after Trinh-Duc brought on for Parra

I've got Wales by 5 on sportguru and I'd like to see a good game too with plenty of tries, so I'm going for a final score of Wales 26 - 21 Fance
