Q&A with Greg Wallace and John Torode
I am pleased to announce that we are going to be getting a Q&A with the presenters of Masterchef, Greg Wallace and John Torode ahead of the BBC Good Food show coming to Scotland on the 21st. (Details and ticket info here - http://glasgow.bbcgoodfoodshow.com/ )
We will be reviewing the event for the forum over the next week, as it will be touring around the rest of the UK, so keep your eyes peeled for that. But ahead of the show, we would like to get your questions to pose to the presenters of Masterchef.
Gregg Allan Wallace is probably best known for co-presenting MasterChef, Celebrity MasterChef and MasterChef: The Professionals on BBC Two and BBC One along with John Torode, where he is referred to as an "ingredients expert". He has referred to himself jokingly as just: "the fat, bald bloke on Masterchef who likes pudding".
John Torode is an Australian-born British celebrity chef specialising in Australasian food. He runs Smiths of Smithfield and several other restaurants scattered throughout London's Smithfield market.
This Q&A will give our members the chance to ask two top foodies in the UK about anything you like. I am sure that these two will inspire you to come up with some fantastic questions about the show and food in general.
I would just like to thank the BBC Good Food show and both John and Greg for taking time out of their busy diaries to answer your questions.
Remember, if you want to meet them in person, they will be in Glasgow from next Friday to Sunday with the BBC Good Food Show at the SECC. On Friday, kids get in for free, so what better time to go! http://glasgow.bbcgoodfoodshow.com/
Post your questions below and I will get them over to them as soon as possible.

Guys - if you were on death row, what would be your final meal be?
What is the hardest (popular) dish to cook?
How manly are the curries you order at Indian restaurants (ie how hot)?

On a more serious note;
Which 'celebrity' chef has created the worst dish you've tasted?
John, what is your favourite dish to cook and for what reason?

Have you ever sampled a deep fried Mars bar
Despite obviously having a love of fine food and dining out, do you ever just think i cant be bothered and phone a takeaway, if so what is your takeaway of choice.
I have generally agreed with the winners of each series, but have to say was overly delighted when Matt won. Do you have a favourite winner or contestant.
Greg, is Monica as scary as she seems on TV.
When judging the early rounds, do you hold the professionals to a higher standard than the normal contestants due to the training and day to day experience they should already have.
I would love to start cooking more, is there any dishes / type of dishes that you would reccomend to build confidence and skills.
Do you own any celebrity chefs cook books and if so do you have a favourite dish of theirs
All i can think of now

Re: Q&A with Greg Wallace and John Torode
What should I cook for the missus to make her want me?
I joke!
Being a student, my culinary pallet is pretty limited to simple curries, pastas and bolognese dishes. Is there anything a bit more expansive that you could recommend which wouldn't blow my budget to smithereens?

Masterchef is effectively the x-factor of the food world,
Do the finalists and especially the winner get instant respect from other chefs within the culinary world, or like x factor does it just mean they have their foot in the door and they have to earn that respect .

Re: Q&A with Greg Wallace and John Torode
Which tasks do you consider to be the hardest, and is there any you get more of a sense of the potential than others.
Greg, When you ask the contestants to make 2 courses, are you always dissappointed they don't make a pudding.

Being an avid watcher of MasterChef Australia and MasterChef, I find the Oz version that little bit more exciting. Are there elements of the Oz version you would like to bring to the UK version? The Masterclass? Mystery Box? Team challenge? Have Matt Preston as a guest judge?

No worries, looking at it I might of offended them by saying the Aussie version is more exciting than theirs!
Derby - It is a very good programme. I just wish it was picked up by the BBC so more people could watch it. George, Gary and Matt are brilliant.
