Very brave of you to do that Afro with Everton next. I like you guys normally and would take 1-0 but because of that I hope you get bummed so bad.

When you support a club like Everton, you get used to being drubbed. You can take the ribbing that comes with it and then the days in the sun are that much more enjoyable.

I actually don't get any pleasure out of the fact that City stuffed you (other than the fact my Fantasy League team is stuffed full of City players).

Yep, thats a joke. Fan take pleasuer in Man United losing and the truth behind it is because we are sucsessful and still the best team in the country. When your at the top you get stick off anyone and everyone. To fans it doesnt matter how it coes about, as long as they can take a blow at the best team in the country is all their bothered about.

I remember pool fans last season saying they dont want to beat Arsenil as it will put man united above arsenil and on course for the league title. Classic example of not wanting Man United to win at ANY cost.

ABU is correct. the amount of people cheering when City scored, I looked around the room and seen chelsea shirts (as they played after), seen Pool fans, Arsenal, Wolves, Birmingham, Leeds...the list goes on.

Wolves fans, cheersing every goal against us yet they know they have City back to back in last nights cup and league. Were they cheering last night...NO

I personally don't care whether United, Liverpool, Chelsea, City etc win or lose unless they are playing Everton. All I care about is the Everton result.

But I know a lot of non United supporters who want United to lose, not because of it being United, but more because over the years of success, there has been a lot of arrogance from an element of United supporters. There is a feeling that they have dished it out willingly over the years and any opporunity to dish some back they will. For some supporters it is due to jealousy, but not all.

I have seen United supporters doing it in the past with Liverpool. If it was Everton who were successful, I would expect it would be the same. In all groups of supporters, you have that mix and I don't think you can label any one set as that much different from the rest

I agree with you Afro, I just don't understand how a fan would see his team lose just so thier biggest rivals won't win the title. I want United to finish high as possible and if it means Man City winning the title so be it. United fans are guilty of this just as others, singing songs about Liverpool when playing Aston Villa.

An United do have arrogant fans I've seen it many times but these are the ones with very little knowledge, these are the fans that expected United to beat Bacra in the final last season.

If it came to the last game of the season and Everton had a game against Liverpool's title rivals and winning meant Everton moved one place up the table to finish say 13th, I would still rather Everton won and helped Liverpool win the title, than us lose and finish 14th

Exactly, 2010 when Chelsea played Liverpool for the title, on 606 there was Liverpool fans wanting to lose but to be fair they had some who wanted to win the game. (Think it was a Steven Gerrard back pass that cost them) Not blaming them only I bet a lot of our fans would do the same.

If we can't get a manager from existing leagues, then perhaps we need to start offering to brand new managers. Risky having an unknown manager, but better than no manager - plus it's the same approach as got me on board originally.
