Wales: The World Cup Awards

Hi all,

Unashamedly pinched off the Irsih post same concept.

a) Best player on tour - For me it's been Roberts, back to his Lions best and caused havoc everytime he got the ball, special mention to Phillips.

b) Best young player on tour - Faletau, got better every game and was outstanding on Saturday, special mention to North.

c) Most valuable player on tour - As it proved on Saturday for me it was Proestland, missed him hugely and he brought best out in Roberts, special mention to Lydiate.

d) Most improved player on tour - Joint effort here, Bennett amd Charteris both proved critics wrong and Charteris was immense throughout.

e) Best Welsh try - Maybe not the best as such but JDs effort against Ireland just because it took game out of reach.

f) Best Welsh tackle - Has to be Shanes on SOB against Ireland, mention to CHarteris and his 19 before half time.

g) Best Welsh coach - Edwards and his defence.

h) Best Welsh moment - The whole perfromance against Ireland.

No mention of Warburton I know but I feel if I did it would just end in another argument over the incident on weekend, that aside I think Gatlands decison to give him captaincy was inspirational and he should keep armband.

He leads on the field and is very good in front of camera and portrays himself well off field.

Surprise player of the world cup for Wales.

Davies, I knew nothing about him before this RWC, but what he did during the tournament, especially with roberts next to him was brilliant, he does have a very good turn of pace as well.
