Who wants a job in creative?
Vice President, Creative Development
Description The VP/Head Producer will be an integral member of the creative team to influence and evolve the WWE brand through story, characters and pop culture. S/he must be someone who can motivate the creative development team and be an outstanding leader and communicator. This person must be highly organized, detail oriented and work well in a fast paced, ever changing high energy environment. S/he will be constantly striving to excite the audience with plotlines of current WWE superstars as well as introducing and creating story arcs for new talent.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Oversee and lead the day to day management of the creative development team.
Travel to all televised events. (52 wks per yr)
Coordinate all production elements to successful completion of live shows including but not limited to-promos, pre-tapes and b-roll.
Assist with day-of-event rewrites.
Consistently work to improve current talent and develop WWE superstars.
Review vignettes with talent.
Work with superstars to enhance on-air personas.
Assign coordination of props, extras, sets, etc. associated with production.
Work closely with all WWE leadership including coordination with marketing, promotion, and digital divisions.
Requirements QUALIFICATIONS:
10+ years demonstrated television production experience.
Proven ability in managing large production teams.
Acute attention to detail and process.
Willingness to travel 3-4 days per week, 52+ weeks per year.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Must be able to think quickly on their feet and juggle multiple balls at once.
Able to work in an extremely fast paced environment.
WWE product knowledge preferred but not required.
Strong understanding of WWE's audience & demographic.
Highly creative producer who can help shape compelling storylines while continually keeping the audience engaged.
Ability to work closely and effectively with talent, writers, and key executives at all levels throughout the creative process.
Plugged into pop culture, trends, current events and be able to quickly weave them into storylines.
A visionary who can think big picture while strengthening and evolving the brand.
Bachelors Degree in Journalism, Communications or similar area.

Backbreaking schedule. But then I would not expect less of someone who would be working under the workaholic that is VKM.

In WWE you have to want it to make it. Whether that's defying the 'conventional' calendar is neither here nor there.

It is a way to say that you are on call thoughtout the year, even on vacation time.

I thought they had acting coaches for that?
Sounds like a hell of a job. Equal parts amazingly cool and high pressure / stressful.
Think I'll just settle for watching it on TV.
