Tonight is the opening game of this years 4nations Australia v New Zealand 19.30 Skysports 1 .

What do you think the score will be ?

I think Australia will be to strong for the Kiwis who tend to get better as the tournament goes on . Aus 26 NZ 14

Aussies by 16.

Think the Aussie's will over run them in the first half, but a second half Kiwi fight back will not be enough.

I was going to start a separate thread before I saw this. Just wondered if anyone thought New Zealand hand a chance tonight as I was thinking of having a wager on them, what you think?

Think it'll be a closer game than the 42-6 loss they suffered last week (or the week before not sure) but don't see them coming out victorious. They have got a few players out to injury and I beleive they have a couple of suspensions.

Australia will go the series undefeated, and will more than likely be an England vs Australia final.

NZ will start out rubbish in the early phases of the tournament, then the team will gell and be very dangerous come the final if they make it (do they play Wales next or England?)

Should be closer than the last game. I'll go 20-14 to Australia.

Matt Scott in for an early try... is Billy Slater injured?

(watching it now Kenny... the 8am was the replay on fox, live on 9 at 6am)

looking at these two I fear for Wales. I don't think i've ever seen such huge rugby league players.

Yeah, huge and fit. Even though JT, Billy the Kid and Cameron Smith aren't huge they are built for the game like nothing else.

When do Wales play? NZ tomorrow?

thought it was an okay game, Australia were always in control after the 2 early tries. New zealand did okay in 2nd half, but didn't really gel like we know that they can do. will have to wait for England/Wales but don't think either will win against these 2. Slightly suprised about the lying on at the tackle during the game, at times was farcial.

I have seen the highlights now and it did seem one sided for most of the game from what i have seen . I do expect that the Kiwis will get stronger as the games go on they should easily beat Wales then it should come down to 12th Nov at the KC stadium versus England .

You have to say Sheens pursuit of only having Australian refs to referee Australian games continues. Its the same in Australia where we wants only West tigers fans to referee Tigers games.

There was a noticeable difference in the refereeing of the 2 games played though which doesn't help .

Thats true, but Aussie refs are no better than British refs, and don't get me going about Tony Archer.

I wouldn't have a problem with a NZ ref or Thierry Alibert from France. Its keep having overated Aussie refs that gets me.

All International games should be reffed by Neutral refs, but Aussies only want Aussie refs when they play.
Aussie's need to grow up and accept neutral refs for International games and stop whinging.

Don't confuse Tim Sheens's whinging with Aussies accepting neutral refs... that's Love sacks.

It's a non-issue. I think reffing has come a long way in the last 5 years or so and the interpretations of the (new) rules have been fairly consistent between the UK, Oz and NZ.
