BCCI: what are you doing!
Ridiclous news coming from the BCCI and has been confirmed:
All stats from the IPL will count as list A statsitics from now on!!!!!!!!!!
how ridiclous. List A is meant to be 40 over games, 50 over games etc, not ipl!

Oh dear me, that's shocking and sad to see that they're taking what is essentially a tin-pot exhibition tournament and trying to say it is real cricket.
Re: BCCI: what are you doing!
it would start to make a mockery of stats tbh as how can you compare averages and strikerates of batsmen and averages and economy rates of bowlers between the two formats

i think the List A for T20 is diffrent from List A of 50 overs.
IPL will ( and should count) as list A for T20

Why should it count? It isn't 'official', not everyone gets to play in it, only if you're good at smashing a ball miles.
It is a tin pot tournament designed by the money men, and whilst it is extremely good fun and does wonders for young Indians, it is of no benefit to youngsters of other countries around the world.
An utter nonsense this ruling is, and will falsely shape statistics.

Just because you don't like something it becomes "Tin pot". There are lot of youngsters from Australia, SA, NZ and England come out here and play for good amount fo money and get to mix with world class players. I think total number of people who have watched IPL so far would be twice as much as total number of people who have watched county cricket.

World is changing buddy learn to change with it. What do you mean by "it always has been"? People always use to stick stamp and mail letters, when is the last time you wrote someone a personal mail and licked the stamp?
Test matches always use to have rest days, do they have it now?
IPL is here to stay.
