Re: WWE Superstars' Win/Loss Statistics 2011
as the results are already predetermined do these statistics actually mean anything?
I mean guys like Sheamus, Punk and Ziggler obviously have poor win/loss ratios because they are heels, however someone like Santino is doing surprisingly well, so what are the WWE trying to accomplish?

I know they mean very little, but I just think its interesting to actually see how people have done over the course of the year

He may have wrestled on Superstars, as that is why Chris Masters is so high up. Hes hardly wrestled on Raw

Re: WWE Superstars' Win/Loss Statistics 2011
This is really interesting. I quite like how random it is, eg Cena and The Miz, who will probably be in the last match at WM27, have winning records of 50% or lower.
It hammers home how little importance WWE attaches to match outcomes. Which begs the question, if WWE made a bigger deal out of this kind of thing (without changing anything else, ie there would still be characters, storylines, feuds, etc and indeed it could be used to start feuds), could they attract a wider audience? Wrestling is ultimately a simulated sport, so surely wins and losses should be treated as a major part of the show? Vince McMahon was the first promoter to break with this way of promoting wrestling; is it now holding his product back?

Completely agree Crips, would be great if they had a stats flash of competitors as they made their way down to the ring for matches, streaks etc.
Re: WWE Superstars' Win/Loss Statistics 2011
I realise why they don't do it, it's because Vince thinks it is too "rasslin". But I really think the vasy majority of wrestling fans would prefer to see more attention paid to win/loss stats.

Thing is though kids would love it so it'd be perfect for the 'Universe'
I'm a dad of two boys, they're stats crazy, top trumps of everything, pokemon and Gogo cards, anything with lists of numbers where they can beat each other they love.
