Golf in the USA
I had to drive to Connecticut for the weekend, so I thought I'd stop by the golf course and see how things were looking.
My heart sank as I drove into the parking lot and saw four to five foot piles of snow heaped along the edge of the driving range. The range and every fairway was solid white, no sign of the ground.
I went up by the 9th hole and took a measurement. About ten to twelve inches still on the ground, heavy, icy snow. It doesn't look good for an April 1 opening.
A couple of miles up the road, I saw the time and temperature sign; 27 degrees Fahrenheit at noon.

It's a long winter in those northern states.
If you need consolation, it'll probably be whiter and colder in Michigan and Wisconsin.

A fellow at my gym told me that his daughter reports they got another four to five feet of snow yesterday in upstate New York. Fortunately, it was all rain along the coast.
I wonder what Kwini is thinking?
