Even the best get bageled!
I will watch with interest to compare how the Number 1 and 2 players bageled sets are interpreted.

Hmmm a loss is a loss, doesn't matter 6-0 or 7-6, the only thing is how the opponent reacts to the win, does he take confidence from this match to beat more top players in the future? thats all it matters.

Are you sure Fedex? that would be pretty good considering it happened in 2008 when he was not 100%.

It's a valid point, I can't remember the last time Federer got bagelled. Part of it is probably the fact he's got a much better serve than both Rafa and Djokovic, so even when his game is off he's less likely to get bagelled. Still impressive though!
Just to complete the discussion, the last time Murray was bagelled (I think) was RG 2010 where he lost the third set 6-0 to Baghdatis in a four sets win. He also lost a set 6-0 to Monfils sometime in 2009 I think (in a three setter he won). Oddly I can't remember him being bagelled in matches he lost, though someone could correct me...

The 2008 final of the true Grand Slam, at the hands of Rafael Nadal. T'was a disappointing performance from the man, but he was completely outclassed by a man on form.Mad for Chelsea wrote:It's a valid point, I can't remember the last time Federer got bagelled. Sadly, Nadal has since whored himself out to the little tournaments and has paid the price this year in losing 2 out of the 4 main tournaments on the calendar - to his credit he did still manage to win Roland Garros and Monte Carlo, but if he persists in playing in pointless tournaments he will surely surrender those two as well as Madrid and Rome.

Yes - I see LF has replied but since the turn of the century, he has only lost one set 6-0!

Hrbaty is the layer with a positive H2H v Federer, Nadal and Murray if I remember correctly.
You won't find many like him.

isn't Hrbaty in fact the only player to have a positive H2H against Nadal and Federer? They certainly can't be too many. Very talented player from what I remember but his career was always blighted by injuries...

Hrbaty's h2h against the two current GOATs (Federer and Nadal) is mentioned everywhere in such debates.

A good resume. He also used to play doubles with Federer, amongst others. He played the SF of RG in 1999 and lost to the eventual champion, Agassi, in four sets.

Oh that's funny. He'll never lose that head to head record because the chances are, they'll never play each other again.
Good resume, that is true. Well done
