Re: Hobby Thread
Do you mean WoW?
If so, i would start a topic under the 'Joypad'.

Dogging has been suggested!

Re: Hobby Thread
Dicey, do you play D&D?
I've never played it but I love all that fantasy stuff and would love to try it sometime. I just don't have the foggiest where to start.

Re: Hobby Thread
Big Daddy, I dont play D&D, I played Warhammer for years but as I got married and had kids it became too expensive so these days I stick with reading the Novels (which are brilliant), but like you I love all the fantasy stuff too, I know a few people that do play it though, they meet up once a month and have a weekend session of beer and D&D so I might tag along someday
As to where to start, if you have some like minded friends that are interested in it you could buy the D&D rulebook and game set and take it from there, I know Hero does roleplaying games with his mates so you could ask him how he went about it

Re: Hobby Thread
Erm I’ll activate my geek powers here.
Yes I play tabletop rpgs. Currently I’m involved in a Call of Cthulu game which is a horror investigation game and Bushido which is an epic samurai game. In Cthulu I’m playing the part of a Jewish criminal psychologist investigating the murder of a hiker in woods near a small town in New England. In Bushido I’m playing the part of a young ninja who’s masquerading as a ronin samurai.
Over the years I’ve run plenty of games, from steampunk cowboy games to epic fantasy to World of Warcraft tabletop and have met up with the same people now for the past 15 years at least once a week.

Re: Hobby Thread
I was just wondering Hero, is there any sort of online "Tabletop" roleplaying game, as in you are a character and join into games such as D&D etc etc, totally text based im not talking MMORPG's, I have the Vassel engine at home where you can play boardgames and Warhammer 40K online with people, but I haven't seen anything Text based

Re: Hobby Thread
my main hobby is DJ'ing.
i have been a 'bedroom dj' for about 12 years now, playing all kinds of dance, trance, techno, house etc
My vinyl connection is my pride and joy with 7 limited editions including a paul van dyke album with only 50 copies made.
For some reason i havnt progressed to CD decks, i just prefer the feel of mixing with vinyl. One day i will eventually get some CD decks though.

Re: Hobby Thread
I know that the World of Darkness games have online versions of their tabletop ones that you can join in. Sure there's probably other ones for games like D&D too.
Re: Hobby Thread
My main hobby would be efedding. My interest in wrestling has waned in the pat year but I still love writing.
