Guilty Pleasure Finishers
There is nothing quite like watching a wrestler execute their finishers. From Stone Cold Stunners to Rock Bottoms, from 5 Star Frog Splash to a Swanton Bomb, From the Sharpshooter to the Crippler Crossface. Some posters may have even tried these in their amateur back garden days.
Everyone has their favourite which is often one which can be technically difficult to pull off or just look awesome when executed.
There are however some which are just plain cheese and has you going 'God I can kick out of that' despite knowing it is staged. But there are some which you secretly admire. The Hogan Leg drop, The People's Elbow, The Worm all deserving of their cheese status (well in my book) The Warrior Splash, The Mandible Claw. All these as I speak make me laugh and draw me in every time I see them and even when sitting their with mates who 'that is so crap' and thinking actually it is amazing.
For me, mine is the 'Clothesline from Hell' I used to really hate it, but then my brother who was massive fan of Bradshaw and he used to JIZ and Mark off so badily it was borderline embarrassing. In the old days of recording Raw and Smackdown on VHS he would rewind it back time and time again because he loved and eventually he reeled me in. When JBL became champion, my brother literally thought he had won it himself and his family became the second most important thing in his life behind Smackdown with JBL. My brother doesn't watch the WWE ever since JBL left, but I admit it may not be the most technically superior finisher and has cheese all over it, but I do love watching it and trying to do it to friends in tribute.
Over to you.

The money shot by Val Venis. If just for the name alone, and the little dance that preceded it.
Always reminds me of favourite line by Jerry Lawler -- "I heard Val Venis wets the bed...from the hallway"

The People's Elbow. I mean how is that going to put someone away for a 3 count? Its one of the less believable finishers ever yet is the most electrifying move in sports entertainment!

I actually didn't much rate the mandible claw from Mankind.
It was bizarre...how would that get someone on their back for 3? I'd imagine they'd just puke on your hand and smash your face in for being such a weirdo.

I did laugh once when he did it and he did a Hulk Hogan pose before landing it. Out of all of them that was the one that was best executed. Can't remember the match though.

Hacksaw Jim Duggan's 3 point stance in the WWF. And then the 3 point stance + running kneedrop combo he used in WCW.

The 619, or even the frogsplash from rey rey. I know its a tribute to EG but him landing on you would be about as painful as my 3 year old.

I actually think the clothesline is an effective move! I mean in the WWE they always hit the chest, but in reality you would aim for their throat. If you hit someone with force and momentum across the throat they're off of their feet and hitting the deck...hard! It's actually something they do in Aikido quite a lot - drag your opponent in one direction and then change direction suddenly, creating force and momentum before clotheslining them in the throat!
Goldberg's Jackhammer and Sting's Scorpion death drop are both guilty pleasures of mine.

Figure-Four and Piledriver as well. Both used by numerous wrestlers that pretty much all said that they had the best version.

I used to go crazy over the F5 and Tazz had an over the top reaction to it of 'F5 coming, F5 coming. Yeah, yeah, yeah.'
I have a soft spot for the Cobra, I always think its a dig at the finger poke of doom.
Only problem I had with the mandible claw was why didn't the receiver just bite Foleys fingers.

yeah Foley himself admitted that it wasn't realistic - I think it was in his blog about Edge's retirement: how wrestlers have to find ways of taking short cuts to save their bodies in order to prolong their careers - Big Show's KO punch is the same.

Re: Guilty Pleasure Finishers
I'm sure Foley was talking more about Mr Socko when talking about Edge, although it was meant to be the same move Mr Socko represented Foley taking Mankind in a more comedic route.
He was using the Mandible Claw since 96, I actually like that move now, at the time I thought 'why don't they bite his fingers' but I remember learning that if you're choking it's near on impossible to bite down as it's natural to open your mouth wider in desperation to get air.

Re: Guilty Pleasure Finishers
Its not so much the choke, he's supposedly clamping on the 2 main pressure points of the Jaw, the one underneath and the one inside your mouth, which is why when he debuted as Mankind he had his 2 middle fingers taped up.
