Best and worst entrance themes of all time
In WWE there has been good themes and bad themes for the wwe wrestlers. Which ones do you think are the best or the worst?
At the moment I like the Miz's theme the most.
Love cody's theme and CM Punk's.
I absolutely hate John Morrison's music. He will never be a main eventer with that dreadful music.

Re: Best and worst entrance themes of all time
I would add Hacksaw Jim Duggan's to gaffers list and also Ted DiBiase Sr as personal favourites.
Then for more general ones, Hogan's music was a big part of his appeal. And then you have Taker's as well.
Bad ones????? I think any of those that I listen to and I don't know what wrestlers it is, are bad. Even the cheesy ones like Val Venis, were good because you could hear them and instantly know who it belonged to.

I feel sorry for Hunico, his entrance song is awful.
Cant stand the Uso's entrance, their whole gimmick was ''we're not like typical samoan wrestlers'' then they change it back just for their entrance mixed in with poor hip hop music?

Have to side with Gaffer & Twist on this one. The older ones were infinitely better than today's random soft rock tracks, there not quite as bad as the early 90's WCW tracks but it's close
Warriors was the best completely optimised his character & entrance. Hogans real American theme suited him to a tee also.
Mounties was funny & apt again decent considering the annoying nature of the character, but best ever?

I think this thread has told us one thing about themes.......
A big round of applause to Jim Johnston. I think his work was an underrated part of the WWF product. To epitomise so many different characters traits in music means he demands respect.

There was something wrong with you if you didn't. Once the old man ditched Sky & got cable I had no access to RTL+ or Sat 1. Chances on Sky 1 was about the only other option.... Youth of today don't know there born with this Internet.

Yeah Sat 1! It was a godsend when my mum was working on a Saturday night & the old man would stick it on, unbeknown that I was upstairs not actually asleep but watching too!

I used to like most theme's from the attitude era really. Every single one was different in their own way & you would know stright away who was who, right down to the jobbers.
Enjoyed a fair few;
Ken Shamrock's
New Age Outlaws

Well all this proves is the youth of today can't read
He was downstairs! I was upstairs he didn't have a clue I was watching! I thought that was pretty obvious

Sorry dude, I wasn't clear in my previous statement either (No that doesn't indicate that the youth of today can't type, it just shows that I wasn't typing correctly )
What I meant was, isn't it slightly messed up that you were watching softcore porn, fully well knowing your dad was watching the same thing as you down stairs, or was that common practice for the youth of yesterday?

Re: Best and worst entrance themes of all time
OK I'll ask, how is this a fascination?
I have simply said that it is wierd that you did what you did, knowing your dad was downstairs doing the same thing, and all you can comeback with it "Your fascinated with this!"
Not a great debater are you?

Re: Best and worst entrance themes of all time
Kane's original entrance theme, and the entrance itself always got me. I thought it fit him perfectly.
Stone Cold's, just for the glass breaking and the monumental pop that followed it.
....and for some reason the Big Boss Man's sticks in my mind. Another one that wasn't outstanding but it fit him.
The worst are practically all of the current mid-card's theme music. One thing I used to hate about TNA was the indecipherable theme tunes, and WWE now seem to be doing the exact same thing.

Themes that suit the character are always great. Gangrel, HBK, Austin, Warrior, Taker, Legion of Doom all come to mind.

Far too many good ones to narrow down.
The worst however is David Flair's WCW theme, it's the most generic thing there's ever been.

Far too many I like to mention them all
Hogans Real American theme (best of all time)
Kingston' s SOS (my current ring tone)
Hbk Sexy Boy
Punk old Killswitch tune before the current cult of personality
Always liked Yokozuna's music aswell, I know Flairs music is a popular piece but everytime I hear it on classic Fm or out and about I always have the compelling urge to shout from the rooftops

Re: Best and worst entrance themes of all time
wow, bumped!
how do we define best? is it how much we like the theme, or how well the theme worked with the wrestler? for example, sycho sid's theme is not something i'd readily listen to, but it worked very well for the character he portrayed.
worst themes. hmm, there's been a few turkeys over the years but more often they're lumped with lower card wrestlers. for a big name(s), poor theme; i'd say nwo wolfpac.

As a kid I love Goldberg's theme but that's because I was a massive Goldberg fan, I just think the intensity he had when coming to the ring and the feel of the music was epic.
Same with Stone Cold but I think that was because when you heard that glass smash, you knew something cool was about to happen.
