How many...
League two followers are on the board?
I've been following Lincoln since September and being a Man. United fan, I have to say what a refreshing experience it has been being exposed to league two football. It's definitely restored my faith in a sport rife with excessive spending, prima donna's demanding huge wages and over flamboyance.
My eyes have been opened and I'm now a regular attendee at home games at Sincil Bank.
Looking forward to some lower league banter in the future.

I find that anywhere outside the Premier League you'll find the pure football experience, as it was meant to be. The Premeir League is about money, not football.
The Championship is the best league in England.

Re: How many...
I wholeheartedly agree.
It's brilliant to experience 'proper'fans too, never had I thought I'd be sat in a stand of supporters still singing even though their team is 5-1 down at half time!

No mate, resigned back in October I think, Steve Tilson, formerly of Southend, is in charge now.

Re: How many...
The problem was, the players he bought in were shocking. Absolute dross compared to what Tilson's bought into the team now. Okay, defensively they can still be shambolic, but it's a marked improvement on what there was at the start of the season.

We are playing some good football at the moment and am hopeful that this might be our year. We need to play better than we did against Morecambe on tuesday though

Being a Lincoln fan isn't for the faint hearted! Consistently inconsistent is the best way to describe them!

Re: How many...
I went on saturday to watch Rotherham vs Bury and have to say that is easily one of the worst pitches in the league in a ground that isnt suitable for football

It's only temporary though isn't it? Their main stadium is getting a refurb.

Re: How many...
I'm mainly a Man Utd fan (boo hiss panto style) but my home team is Macclesfield Town and quite often I'll take my eldest son along to watch them.
Fair few quid cheaper than taking him to Old Trafford!

I'm a tortured fan of the tortured Stockport County, we've been through the mire ever since Brendan Elwood sold us to The Evil Sale Sharks owner Brian Kennedy, year after year of mismanagement later and it will culminate in a few weeks with us being relegated to the Blue Square Premier.
One thing is for sure, I'll never be one of the sheep in my town who runs off to support Manchester City up the A6.

I hope you survive but cant see it happening, I love the away games there, it was better when they didnt put seats on the terracing though! Always seemed to be a nice sunny day when we play there

Although your our closest rivals I think it'll be a sad day when you get relegated, the highlight of the season for us are the local derbies.
Re: How many...
Local derbies are always the best games, Im hoping we get promoted this season so we can get the game against Rochdale back

Re: How many...
Our fans will always be there, the core 3,700 I hope will still go to the games once we go into the BSP. It's a tricky league to get out of though and I see us staying there for a couple of seasons.

Re: How many...
Just to prove you right BigPhil, just look at how the likes of Wrexham, Luton, Cambridge, Darlington and Grimsby have struggled in the BSP. Luton didn't even deserve to be relegated for on the pitch performances, but they still can't get out!
I'm hoping my Crawley Town can edge their way over the line, everyone seems to have given up on catching us, but stranger things have happened! And here's to League Football for the first time ever next season!

Pablo Mills is a beast, I was gutted when the Millers let him go.

I'm a Stockport fan too. We've no chance of staying up now.

Re: How many...
It's going to be a tall order but the win against Southend yesterday was good. Finally we are the ones getting a mere modicum of luck in getting a last minute goal.
