Opinions on this possible match-up
First topic message reminder :
Watching KOTV this week, the showed the re-run of CLeverley and Bellew and it got me thinking about the British LH scene. I was wondering if there would be any interest in a potential fight between Tony Bellew and the supposedly reinvigorated Enzc Macc.
Bellew surprised plenty of people that night against Clev and I had him losing it only in the last couple of rounds. Enzo still shifts tickets as does Bellew and I can't see much point in either of them faffing around with these Euro journeymen at this stage (especially Enzo).
Both can bang and both have hit the deck. I think it has the potential for a little cracker of a fight and I look forward to Frank Warren stealing this idea and announcing it shortly

Re: Opinions on this possible match-up
Do people honestly belive Warren could secure a fight for Nathan with the likes of Dawson, Hopkins or even Pascal? Why would Frank bother when he can sell tickets with an all-Brit clash against either Enzo or Bellew.
The Bellew rematch sells due to their first fight and a fight with Enzo sells due to the Welsh angle and the needle that's built up between the two camps recently

I think Warren sees both Enzo and Bellew as lucrative opponents for Cleverly...
Hence I can't see him having them fight eachother.....
makes no real sense...

When he has two prospective goldmine clashes down the road why would he throw one away...??

enzo/bellew is a big fight and makes the winner of that will be a bigger fight than if the fight didnt happen.

Re: Opinions on this possible match-up
IF (note the capitals) Enzo and Bellew is a decent scrap with a close decision, surely Warren could still justify the both of them as viable opponents. The only fly in the ointment is that Enzo's had so many bad KO's Warren will need to try and convince the public and media he's not a busted flush (yeah, we know he may very well be but I digress) and the only way to do that is to put him in with the young, hungry Bellew.
Warren's been happy in the past to sacrifice one of his fighters on the promise a nice big payday (Smith/DeGale) so why not this time round?

He can justify them both now....Enzo vs Clev = The battle of Wales....
Bellew v Clev is an obvious rematch...to the contentious first fight..
Now he has to find big fights for boxnation why would he lose one of these lucrative matches..

Re: Opinions on this possible match-up
Like I said, IF Bellew Enzo is close, then he can still salvage something out of it.
If Enzo get's blasted out then there was every probability it was going to happen again anyway. So why not in a big money match as opposed to another warm-up?

Re: Opinions on this possible match-up
Think he can afford to lose Bellew but not Enzo..
Should think an all Welsh-superfight in Cardiff would be huge....
Hence Bellew being avoided...
Bellew isn't quite as marketable as the other two..

Re: Opinions on this possible match-up
I think the closeness of the first fight makes a Bellew rematch VERY marketable...especially if he dispatches Enzo and then another top LH to earn another crack at Cleverley.
