Re: Raw Results (Spoilers, obviously)
Sounds like a good episode all in all.
Pipers pit was a little strange, contrasting thoughts on cena.
Miz booked very strongly putting r truth and Morrison on the shelf, could ve interesting where they go now.
Brodus clay delayed again, they are building it up like the second coming rather than a useless fat guy returning.
Have they forgotten about hhh and Nash?

I really enjoyed the opening segment, thought Piper was excellent. Opens a potential new dimension to Cena's character.

Re: Raw Results (Spoilers, obviously)
Piper's Pit was brilliant, I've hated them over the last few years because they've just been (bad) comic relief but this one was very storyline related and was pushing an angle, it was great to see Cena not looking and smirking at the hard camera when Piper said something for the crowd to react to, serious Cena is miles ahead of happy go lucky Cena and is more watchable and easier to identify with as a character

How do you see this angle panning out bud? I'm glad they're finally acknowledging the crowd reaction Cena receives, but will he just keep batting it away and 'Rising Above Hate' or will the turn finally come? What do you reckon?

Re: Raw Results (Spoilers, obviously)
no mention of bryan? his character is starting to take shape i think
ive been waiting for a cage match with henry as ive predicted that he will go through the ring and win in the same way that jbl beat big show a few years ago. either that or bryan will win, im not sure though.

I'm not to sure, when thinking about what might happen with Cena it's usually best to think inside the box because they very rarely if ever do anything unexpected with him.
On the face of it it's admirable that no matter what fans say about him or boo him he'll keep doing his thing for the people who do like him, what isn't admirable is that he's all cheesey smiles to the crowd that boos the crap out of him and full of 'they're entitled to their opinion, that's what the WWE is all about' crap, that for me isn't admirable, he's busting his ass and they boo him, he shouldn't be sitting back accepting that, he needs to show some emotion.
Piper pulled the strings last night, I want to see Cena get more agressive and have a bit more attitude about him in the coming weeks but I'm not sure, a segment like that though should be the catalyst for a change of direction

Re: Raw Results (Spoilers, obviously)
Thats the thing, Piper pulled the strings, and because they've given it such exposure and publicly acknowledged that Cena is only popular with a minority i'd expect this angle to evolve in the coming weeks. I dont think Cena will fued with Punk, and Rock isnt going to be around, so he needs something substantial to go forward with.
One thing is for sure - I would be amazed if John Cena is still a babyface on April 2nd.

Re: Raw Results (Spoilers, obviously)
It was a very good editon of Raw.
I for one really enjoyed pipers pit. It is pushing more to a Cena heel turn which is going to be fantastic and one heck of a day in wwe.
A bit shocked there was nothing on the HHH/Nash angle. At the end of the show i was getting a sneaky feeling that Nash would come from the crowd and attack Punk reuniting there feud.
The Miz is getting booked correctley at the moment. Putting Morison and Truth on the shelf is fantastic I recon next week we will see Miz vs Riley as part of this people holding him back in the past thing.
On that note what is the deal on Morrison has he 100% left and what is his future plans ?
Dont have a clue why there holding Brodus Clay back again. Going to be very intresting to see what he does when he returns.
Zack Ryder wins again
No video promos this week for the suspected Masked Kane and Chris Jericho. They havant stoped already have they ?
All in all good Raw. Roll on live Smackdown. Why is it a holliday editon now and were not even in December ?

Gaffer, i'm 95% sure it was before Jack Swagger's match (possibly v Sheamus). This week it was before the Divas match.

Yeah I know this weeks was the diva match, I started to think it could have been Kharma, was just wanting to check if it was during a diva segment last week as well

Re: Raw Results (Spoilers, obviously)
The pipers pit in the opening seg was very well executed, I think that wwe are going to start 'dipping the toe' so to speak with the cena heel turn over the next few weeks culminating in the full turn at mania. It's going to be immense when and if it actually happens, it could well be one of the most important milestones in wrestlings modern era and I for one can not wait to see that side of cena's character.
Otherwise all in all a solid raw not great but ok

What were peoples thoughts on the Daniel Bryan/Michael Cole segment?
Its the best I've seen from Bryan on the mic (haven't seen the indie stuff) and Cole's long hatred of him may just help get him over. But mainly is was good to see him show a bit of aggression that gives his character the edge it needs.
Expect to see him come close tonight but not quite win it, helping set him up as a contender in the next few months

Re: Raw Results (Spoilers, obviously)
Thought Bryan was excellent on the mic and he definitely needs to have an edge in order to get over as a face like Chris Benoit. It would be amazing if they did it that Bryan would come close but not close enough against Mark henry before running out of chances. Then he decides to cash in his MITB contract at WM in order to win the title there and finally defeat Mark Henry clean.
The issue is that I can't see the WWE keeping the title on Mark Henry until then...

Re: Raw Results (Spoilers, obviously)
I can't really see Bryan keeping the case til WM to be honest. I thought at the time and I still think he was given the case to be the one to take the hit of being the first to fail and I think building him up may just be the set up to a fall.
That doesn't mean I don't think he'll win a title just that it'll take a bit longer than it might seem now

Re: Raw Results (Spoilers, obviously)
I reckon he'll cash it in at TLC
Think he'll climb out the cage tonight but Henry will go out of the door and both will get their feet down at the same time
Henry refuses to give him another shot but teddy long makes the match for next week, after a hard fought fight Henry gets the win, goes to induct him into the hall of pain and big show comes out to make the save. Big show and Henry is made for TLC where mark Henry retains, after the match show hits WMD knocking out Henry and he comes in and cashes in

Except you can't do that as Henry will be knocked out thus meaning he is in an unfit state to compete just like last week

Re: Raw Results (Spoilers, obviously)
Could we have:
Daniel Bryan fails to win belt on Smackdown
Announces he will cash in at TLC in a three way match with Mark Henry and Big Show
Fails to win WHC (thus breaking MITB streak without the issue of a failed run in cash in)
Wins Royal Rumble to seal place in main event at WM anyway (especially as it is being rumoured that the winner will come from the blue brand)
Victorious in main event (or curtain jerker lol) at WrestleMania

Re: Raw Results (Spoilers, obviously)
Big improvement this week
The Pipers Pit segment I wasn't as big on as others sound. Looked at times like Piper was struggling to remember his words with Cena having to prompt him. I think they should just let the old school guys ad lib a bit more rather than giving them a script Hart & Nash seem to struggle as well. The hall of fame ring? What was that about? All in all though the message was good & they used the right legend to get the point across. It certainly adds a bit of intrigue to the Cena character from this smiley happy go lucky I don't care character he's become.
Loved the Smackdown promotion I might actual watch it this week off the back of it. Bryan did a good job display intensity.
Barrett, Ziggler, Orton stuff was great. Ziggler continues to impress & it was good to see him picking up the win which didn't hurt Orton & further built his feud with Barrett. Having Barrett on commentary made perfect logic he's a great talker & it was a way of getting him on the show without having a pointless multi man tag.
Punk character was great in his segment with Del Rio, Laurinatus & Otunga. Great line about Otunga's google search, not too insider but playing to his 'know it all' character. Match with Del Rio was enjoyable with a very creative finish which I liked.

I thought it was because he wasn't medically cleared to compete last week, this would be different

Yeah you're right Gazzy, the title wasn't allowed to change hands because Mark Henry wasn't cleared to compete that night

Re: Raw Results (Spoilers, obviously)
I definately think that A-Ri is being sent back to developmental as he is the only one left who was associated with him, so i am guessing that he will be destroyed next week.
I do think they need to give Michael Cole a stable though and maybe have him become a manager for a bit as i think his commentator role is getting a bit stale and boring.
Also did anyone else see the really good Macho Man costume at about the 10 minute mark, I think he was sitting just to the right of Lawler.

Just to add that the link aired again during a diva's match on SmackDown!
I think they're trying to make fools like me convince people it could be Kharma

It wont be Kharma. She left at the end of May and was given a one year leave of absence and she hasnt even had her baby yet.
Its probably going to be Taker. 'It Begins' meaning the Road to Wrestlemania.

I'd be shocked if the WWE lets Miz take out Big Show after he takes out Alex Riley

I think shes due the first week in December, that said, for me It's definitely Jericho but I think they'll keep their options open just incase Jericho doesn't return

Re: Raw Results (Spoilers, obviously)
Watched Raw last night - my thoughts are such;
- Having been a massive critic of Daniel Bryan and his World Title credentials to date, THAT IS MORE LIKE IT. Great promo, great intensity - where the hell has that been?
- ADR vs Punk was a brilliant TV match.
- Ziggler vs Orton was a brilliant TV match. Not sure I like "The Show Off" - but did like the headstand. No harm in that.
- Punk was back on form on the mic. Funny rather than too smart.
- Pipers Pit started awfully with Rowdy seemingly disorientated and forgetting or messing up lines. Then about halfway through he picked it up and was immense - and the segment was quality.
- All told, a very good Raw. And it had Mick Foley dressed as Santa
