The guy from Mortal Kombat? Dunno Bull, perhaps not be involved in fights that end in a fatality? He should probably stop saying 'come over here', it's a bit rapey.

How does it feel the be the less successful half of Clarke and Marshall?
Where did you come up with such a new and cutting edge idea from?

Out of Character
Concentrate on the promo's that are aimed towards you. Don't just rush off and cut a promo that isn't relevant to what other people have said. Focus on what you're trying to achieve and channel that into your promo's. If you have an idea, share it with the person you're up against.
Don't be afraid to step up and talk down to your opponent regardless of their stature, it will only help develop your persona more and elevate your feud.
Have belief in your character. If you're negative, it will come out in your promo's and people will pick you off easily.
And although this isn't majorly relevant, concentrate on your grammar and presentation of your promo. It shows you're putting the effort in and makes it easier for people to understand. Fluency is essential.
In Character
Stay out of my way.

Do you think the Church of Hero angle has been a success?
Would you like to move away from Church of Hero related things now to try and develop your character away from that angle?
Do you wish you had never gone away from 6CWF, or was the return worth it?

I'll do all this out of character mate.
I think the Church has been an unbelievably successful angle. The ability to develop new characters in in a main event setting has been a great honour and the guidance from Hero and also Demon was a great asset. My one criticism is that at times i feel they haven't dominated as much as they should have, but it says alot when 4 of the members have gone on to win titles, and in some cases (Marshall, Rapture) multiple ones.
I still think the angle has legs. Personally, for me, i still have history with all of you, particularly Marshall and Hero. Whether the latter ever returns i don't know, but it certainly won't be the end. It's a fascinating angle to be part of right now as nobody really knows where it's heading and that can only be a good thing.
I left for what were correct reasons, and at the time i had no intention of coming back. I had a change of heart and it's worked out well. I'm happy with my character and i think my promo's have developed well to where i would consider myself amongst some of the top guys. I really enjoyed my return build up, and the way it was received made it all worthwhile being away.
Do i think i could've been where Marshall is now? Maybe. But i don't regret my decision. I had the chance to be part of a fantastic angle and in truth, i still am.

Good responses Beer! I expected the answers OOC as it's good to get an insight.
Which character would you like to see Clarke feud with in the next year?
Where do you see yourself by the next time Born in Fire comes around?
Considering your first experience in this kind of thing was in 7WF, did you ever consider using a comedic character in 6WF?

I'll go outside the Church, it would be Saint and Chaos. I would like a feud with original Crime Lord.
I'd like to think I've got the potential to headline, but I think the cusp of Main Event would be ideal. In an ideal world it would be Clarke v Hero.
Ahhh, 7WF. My baby. Ummm, no, never considered it. I think aspects of CJ are a reflection of my personality, I am coccky, I am arrogant and I can be an bumhole at times. Personally i think it's easier to develop a character on that basis. I'd never rule out a comedic character. I'd been around 6WF people for a good year before joining and I read the shows and promo and took ideas and lessons from guys like Crime Lord, Cassius and JJ.

Toughie. I was very apprehensive about taking on a Face character, I didn't feel I could be a kiss up, but actually I've really enjoyed it. As for which I prefer to promo as, I would edge towards Heel. Purely as I feel you can allow yourself more vulnerability in the character.

Steve has been an absolute revelation and deserves the plaudits he gets. I love his Jackson Black character.
Other than that, Logan, McManus and Scorpion.

I missed the comradary and the creativity. I see this place as an outlet to vent and express yourself. I think you don't truly appreciate the effect this place has on you until you step away. Waiting 3 months to return was excruciating but the ideas you get make it worthwhile.

Who did you feel was THE on form promoer in the run up to BiF?
Also, how did it feel being a part of it, what with it being your first one?

Gutted.
Hero and I speak a fair bit outside of this place, bouncing ideas off each other and the dream was always a CJ v Hero or Marshall v CJ v Hero finale.
I do find it selfish that he chose to disappear on his creation but at the same time I respect the time and effort he's put in over the last 5 years he deserves to go out on his terms.
He'll be back, Marshall and I are his originals, when we hit the big time he won't hand around before coming back to reclaim what's his.

Next year perhaps. Alot depends on storylines and what fits. I'd like to think Marshall and I would meet later down the line, if not, Sainty.

Mat was brilliant. So receptive and encouraging, but at the same time he doesn't beat around the bush with criticism. His vision was actually the same as mine. I'd thought before contacting him about adopting the Judas character and then during a discussion he mentioned it. That was probably the moment I realised that the return would be a success.

Ohhhh, that's a big question. Every promo was sensational. The back and forth between Chaos and Patricks and Marshall and Clarke were simply phenomenal and added so much to the feuds. It was only the first time properly I think Marsh and I back and forthed bit everything just clicked. JJ reminded us all what we could do and the guys in the Tag Team match especially put down a marker.
If I had to be brutally honest, in no particular order...
JJ
Clarke James
Saint
It may seem like blowing my own trumpet, but I felt my promos were my best work. For intensity, delivery I think I excelled myself.
Being part of it was awesome. You get caught up in the buzz, the drama, the fact that anything can happen and what Mat and JJ delivered was outstanding. A moment I'll never forget.

Perhaps. But it's not all about world titles. Characters need longevity. It's all fair and well having an awesome gimmick, but if it gets stale after a month where do you go? You have to look at the guys who constantly excel, guys that have been at the top of the card for months and ask yourself if you could maintain that consistency? Guys like Hero, Patricks, Cassius, Lex, Crimey. They are the people that have stood the test of time and if you can look at them and think 'yeah, that's what I'm gonna be' then bang on Mat's door, promo your heart out and reap the rewards.

From the current roster? Longinus. Think with our history we could be the face alternative to Marshall and Clarke.
Legends wise? Cassius or Hobo.

Scorpion for the exact same reasons as Crimey said. He's too multi dimensional, it's great taking influence from so many people, but you have to create a mixture of those people in your character, not try and promo as them.

I enjoy Uryu as a character, especially they way you've taken some of the new guys under your wing. You did it with James Eagle, McManus and now Logan. I think your ability to bring out the best in those guys does sometimes go un-noticed.
Character wise, I'd like to see you become more or a Bruce Lee-esque badass. Kind of the the matey from Tekken.

I think in reality I would always have been the first to break free from Hero and the Church. Whether I would've held singles gold during that time I don't know. I think probably in the same sort of place. I don't think I lost too much ground on the others, I'd still put myself on the same level as Marshall.
The period I left was a transitional period for the Church. The new guys had come in, I'd left and the Church were starting to look more dominant as a group even with Hero's pursuit of the Undisputed Title.
The guys who came in slotted in perfectly and really aided the development of the Church storyline.
