Best Wishes Darren, hope you get well soon.

Does this mean Fergie has to sign someone in January now?

You'd think so, Carrick and Anderson are the only two real centre midfielders I can think of off the top of my head.

Fletcher and Vidic out of the side makes them look a lot weaker, although Jones/Ferdinand/Smalling should be able to cover the Vidic loss, I fail to see who at the club could take Fletchers place.

As a UC sufferer i hope he gets better soon.

It can be a really nasty and uncomfortable disease. Hopefully with the right treatment he could be in remission in 6 months.

Get well soon Darren Fletcher, fantastic midfield player and a huge loss for Man utd. Also a fantastic goal against Man City this year which people seem to have forgotten amongst the severity of the result. good luck over the next 6 months.

The other CM would be Cleverly, but just like Anderson he's out for at least another few weeks.

I saw Tiote's name banded around on BBC Gossip this morning but I don't think he's what Utd need.

They could do a lot a worse than a cheeky loan approach for Kaka.

eugh sounds painful. Hope he gets well soon.

On a side-note, what happened to Anderson? Touted as the next big thing but never really kicked on and has now been overtaken by the younger Cleverly (a bit like Mikel and Romeu maybe?). Was impressed by Cleverly earlier, and Carrick will do his thing, but IMO there's no doubt Man U could do with recruiting some quality in CM.

Anderson came in very young and he was more of an attacking midfielder when he came in and Fergie played him deep, when he got injured a few seasons ago he lost some pace and hasnt seemed 100% fit since

From the sounds of it Fletcher may have the more serious and less tolerant version of it so needs time to adapt hopefully he comes through everything ok
