Week 14 alone for my holiday Derby - there have been some ugly ones along the way but now comfortably in profit for the season.

I remember you posting a couple articles about NFL betting at the beginning of the season, I didn't pay a great deal of attention at the time but have just started putting a few quid on the last couple of weeks, haven't won anything yet though.
Any tips for a newbie? I tend to stick to the safest games but have come a bit undone even with those. Sorry for hijacking your thread NFL Mike

bambam - not many punters in here so I stopped putting up prices.
Early season was tough, it's just started taking shape for me to be fair, I need to put some work in over the next few days so will post my bets somewhere before Sunday.
I like the over 2.5 turnovers tonight in Atlanta, I also like over 42 points in the game

Yeah I saw that you didn't get too many replies on those threads so can understand you not putting them up.
What markets do you usually bet on? I have been doing outright winner or the spread and found it a lot trickier than I thought

Moot - go to the befair forum, some good threads over there on prices and fancies, a couple of idiots but ignore them and there's some decent info

Another good night for you Grizzly, if you went over 2.5 turnovers and 42 points?

Re: Week 15 betting
I'm definitely not rolling.
Backed under 37.5pts in the Broncos/Vikings game a couple of weeks ago It ended up finishing 34-31 or something stupid like that.
Thought they may have found a bit of form on Offence so back over 35pts in the Broncos/Bears game.
Final score? 13-10

Re: Week 15 betting
Dancing - unders in the bears/Broncos game was one of my bigger plays last week, no Bears offence but a solid D against a guy who can't throw the ball ?
The weather usually dictates the lines at this time of year but this weekend is forecast to be strangely clear - no wind, rain, snow etc, so don't be afraid to play the overs.
Eagles/Jets over 43.5 I think is an outstanding bet, I also like the overs in Houston 44 and at Arrowhead, also 44 - two of these could be ruined by weather so keep an eye on updates, but the early forecast is for clear skies and light winds.
I'm siding towards Cards to give up 6.5 points against the hapless Browns as well.
Mods - if you want to move this discussion away from Mikes thread pse feel free

Week 15 betting
Well when you put it like that.....!!!
I guess my thinking was that both D's could create enough short fields/turnovers that I wouldn't be reliant on Tebow/Hainie driving 80yds to get the score.
If you have time to put any tips up i know i'd appreciate it, but i'll check out the betfair forums too.

Re: Week 15 betting
Which are the best sites to bet on? Thinking I may try to make a little bit of money while I appear to be getting a fair few points in NFL Mikes competition.
This was the best I could think of as an attempt to seperate it.

Re: Week 15 betting
Just put together a little accumulator, hoping to get a few opinions. Probably a bit ambitious but there you go.
Dallas Cowboys by 7.5 points over Tampa Bay Buccs
Bengals by 7 over Rams
Giants by 6.5 over Skins
Packers by 13.5 over Chiefs
Cards by 6.5 over Browns
Titans by 6.5 over Colts
Saints by 7 over Vikings

Any 7 point acca is ambitious but I have to say I can't disagree with any of Bambams selections, I just prefer to play singles 'cos there'll be a shock in there somewhere that'll ruin a perfectly good acca !

Re: Week 15 betting
Remembered I had a free £10 bet stashed away so hedged my bets a bit. Used the £10 free on the accumulator above, then bet my £10 on the Cowboys, Bengals, Packers, Titans. Hopefully will win something on them!
Cowboys got me off to a good start so hopefully can continue later today!

Re: Week 15 betting
Yep, nice start bambam.
Cards -6.5
Eagles -2.5
Saints -6.5
Eagles/Jets over 43.5
Bungals/Rams over 38.5
Giants/Skins over 13 points 2nd quarter
Chiefs/Packers TD shirt numbers over 295
No weather to ruin any games so finding overs looks a better bet than looking for unders.
Good luck

I just cant comprehend betting on the combined shirt numbers of TD scorers... the Saints must come up with pretty low ones there!

Bungals and Rams over 38.5... now that Clemens is starting and the Rams are on for about 3 points...

I would like to apologise to anyone who was betting on any games that I also had a bet on. Those games were guaranteed to be a betting disaster due to my betting curse
