So far my schedule is looking thus:
Blairgowrie 36

Mortonhall 18
Alyth 36
Edzell 36
Newtonmore 36
Badenoch (18 on Newtonmore, 18 on Kingussie)
perhaps one or two others too.

Super
You have moved between probably the top two golfing regions in the world, if you ever live anywhere else you will be distraught.
I would like to play in opens again but no longer have a handicap so cannot play in them. The best one was north Berwick, where you played the glen and the west links for about £30.
I think the gullane open is of scratch and for those with handicaps of 5 and under. Although if it is from scratch I am not sure why they stipulate a handicap limit?
Yesterday ban said he was thinking of ditching membership in favour of playing opens, is that the route you are going to choose super?

Mac, I imagine Gullane is a handicap limit because they might see it as a more high profile event, perhaps also worthy of ranking points for amateur status, you can't really do that if you let everyone in.
I'm going to stick with my two clubs, one will now be a country membership which means reduced fees, while I simply cannot give up St.Andrews as i'd never get it back again.

Hi,
Gullane is 23rd June.
handicap limit was 5 last year but there were only scratch prizes awarded last year. maybe 1 handicap prize
Last year it was £26 and they throw in soup and sandwiches for lunch. Great value
Longniddry is a good Open too normally.
Downfield & Scotscraig also good tracks
