Console Tennis Games
Hello all
I have just bought a PS3 and been given Virua tennis 3 and 4. Not bad but the whole builing a career thing is a bit annoying. Does anyone have any recommendations for other good tennis games?

Myself and the Mrs used to play that free tennis game on Wii Sports, the one with the bowling on it also (before we sold the Wii)
Had many a happy time playing it, although your arm stars to ache after a while.
Not much help in what you were wanting to hear, but thought to share it non the less.

That sounds more like it. I just want to play tennis in my living room, not worry about adequate rest days and whether I can burst enough balloons with my serve!

True, but not really an option when you get home at quarter to one in the morning after a 16 hour shift and need to wind down. The tennis clubs tend to frown upon people playing tennis in their pyjamas with a bat in one hand and a vodka in the other!

In my day there was a lot of skill involved sitting on the sofa playing these video tennis games - I used to be called the Federer of the Sofa tennis with me deft hands.legendkillar wrote:TopSpin 4 on the Wii is immense. I recommend it for the Wii.
Now along comes this Wii technology, which involves a lot of prancing around, and has turned the game right physical.
There's just no skill in it nowadays, all that physical prancing requires no talent at all - it puts me at a right disadvantage with me angina and what.

It's a plan. It doesn't really work for 5pm - 9am shifts but I can replace the vodka with hot chocolate or something.

Fair enough. In that case even playing "console" tennis is impressive. I would probably just stick with the vodka...

I wholeheartedly recommend Top Spin 4 (available for XBox, PS3 and Wii).
I personally would prefer the Vodka first, TS4 second.

Very true - just tested the theory on the PS3 after another 16hr shift! Replaced the hot dog with an Alpen bar though
