Can the Mighty BATH make the playoffs
The Mighty BATH Strikes Back
Here we go again, another 1st half of the season that wasn't expected or wanted by us faithful Bath fans but once again we have stuck by our team, paid our hard earned money and filled the Rec week in week out and the players have rewarded us with a performance (Bath 30 Lnd Irish 3 ) that suggests that we are capable of a strong 2nd half of the season, and the way the Jeff is going you wouldn't put it past Bath to make the playoffs and win the Jeff.
Here's to a successful 2012 for the Blue Black and White.

Was that Armitage's first game back after his suspension?

Can't believe it!!! First game I've missed this season.
The way Bath have been playing recently I thought washing the car would be more fun.... Shame on me.

Surprisingly dominant performance from the Bath pack. Attwood did himself no harm at-all.
Eastmond was getting a big build up. It will be fascinating to see where he ends up playing.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2012/jan/01/bath-london-irish-premiership
The Guardian wrote:There is something about Bath and New Year's Day that brings out the worst in Delon Armitage. Twelve months ago, after London Irish had lost in the last minute at home to the west country side, the England full-back was abusive towards a drug-testing official after the game and was later served with the first of his four bans in 2011.
The final one came after the October meeting with Bath in Reading, a day on which Armitage was sent to the sin-bin for a dangerous tackle. He was subsequently cited for two offences and received a five-week suspension. In his first league match back, against Exeter last week, he was penalised for a high tackle, though not disciplined, but he sat out the last 10 minutes of Irish's biggest Premiership defeat since May 2006 after seeing yellow again against Bath. Armitage's challenge on Michael Claassens was late, not high, and cynical rather than dangerous. It is unlikely to merit a citing but his recent disciplinary problems – he was banned during the World Cup for a dangerous tackle – make his retention in the England squad next week increasingly unlikely.
It is not as if he is in form compared with his rivals; he followed up a knock-on against Bath by allowing a high ball to bounce as he disputed responsibility with Steven Shingler, and his subsequent scuffed clearance kick travelled a few metres and was collected by Dave Attwood, who was too shocked to make profitable use of the present.

Hersh,
Have you been taking the pills? These mood swings are disturbing as only days ago you were demanding that Bath get relegated to rebuild.

Told you to Believe. What a difference a win makes. Need to follow it with another. Mid table position would be realistic. Then start rebuilding next year.

Re: The Mighty BATH Strikes Back
Would be nice to get a few more injured players back on the pitch - Mears, Moody, Hooper & Fearns would be good. Nice to see Beattie back and stirring up the crowd too. The other focus has to be on establishing a 10/12/13 combination that is consistent (injuries allowing).
Long way to go and winning Saracens away would be good statement of intent and should always be possible by Bath.
The league is still tight and the playoffs and HC qualification perfectly achievable.

Not sure why every opposition is given a morale boosting win just before playing us. Has happened in the last 3 games. Sigh.
