George Chuter (& Sinbad)
On Sunday George Chuter recorded his 240th Premiership appearance, moving him one ahead of Hugh Vyvyan and into the outright lead of most appearances. Earlier in the season he recorded his 250th Tigers appearance vs Sale. His first appearance in a Tigers vest was replacing current Head Coach Richard Cockerill in a defeat at Kingsholm (interestingly the Outside Half for Glaws that day was a young lad by the name of James Simpson-Daniel)

Chuter is one of the rapidly diminishing bunch of players who started in Rugby priot to professionalism - having appeared for England Colts in the 94-95 season. He played 5 years at Sarries before deciding to take a year out and backpack round the world. Officially he attended the Sydney Olympics while on the Australia leg (unofficially he looks good in Cathy Freeman's body stocking!!) and surfed most of the major beaches in Aus, Hawaii and California.
On return to England he joined Tigers, initially behing Dorian West and Cockerill, worked hard and played for England - appearing in the 07 RWC. He is the sort of player that epitomises what Leicester are all about - not the most talented but putting every ounce of talent and effort they have out on the training paddock and during a match every time.
I give you George Chuter a Tigers (and Sarries) legend.
