The Tennis Vault
Just following on from a discussion last night, we can obviously have other sections within the tennis section.
Would you like a 'tennis vault' where you can post videos (within spoiler tabs, I can show you how to do this, its dead easy) and also store information & articles and links on the tennis legends.
It would give something new for the section, create new debates whilst storing all your favourite clips in one place to share with each other.
Obviously this is your section, so before setting it up, please vote if you are happy for this new subsection.

Yes if it's limited to retired players!

Re: The Tennis Vault
I am all for it.
I think for new and old tennis fans, it will help generate understanding of the standards with in the game and how much they have changed and also hopefully will help stir feelings about moments in time when you first saw 'that shot' or 'that match'

Re: The Tennis Vault
Nice idea to limit it to retired players to stop it being spammed with current vids that are easily available on the web and which may be used as unnecessary adjuncts to Fedal disputes.
If it does not involve a big additional burden and expense it is likely to enhance the site a bit and you should go for it. If it is burdensome then the cost-benefit analysis is probably quite a tight one.

Re: The Tennis Vault
It wont be a burden Barry, just takes 2mins to set up and then its up to you guys to post some threads and get some video clips together. Obviously I will add some as well to spark some debates. It wont cost anything either.
Once I get my head around the Hall of Fame and get it set up I will run that in the subsection also

Posting video's is easier than conversing with some of the posters here

No to tennis vaults. If i wanted a gossip site i would have been on MTL. Anyways I'm about to announce my retirement from 606v2 now. But it will last for only 24 hours

Re: The Tennis Vault
Its not going to be a gossip section SA, but more of a database and a source of information on legends including videos.
Enjoy your day off.

For you LF. Not the result though.
Some of the points on here show amazing speed and stamina given it was way back in 1960!!

This is marvellous. The run-around-the-bh-FH at 1:20+ is fantastic. Some beautiful rallies and point construction on Grass. LK.

Re: The Tennis Vault
The behind-back-BH is as good as some of the modern tweeners, it was just wide though. Both smile after a long rally, as Laver awaits Fraser to catch his breath. True sportsmanship was alive and kicking.
Edit: Perhaps 606v2 posters can learn a bit from such sportmanship.
